ODFL | Showing Drivers Licenses

What is company policy on showing your license. I have a company ID BUT THEY WANTED MAKE A COPY OF MY DRIVER LICENSE at my delivery. Told them no you can not have a copy but hope you have a great day!
you don't have to show your drivers id unless its a government bldg. or federal or police oh forgot od does what company wants and afraid to challenge them on person rights and protections

TWIC card is nothing more than a tax for truck drivers to pay, every 8 years or so. I, like anyone else, had to get one, to be allowed to enter the North Carolina Ports. Once I got into each port, I was FORCED to buy an ID badge...$35.00 at EACH port, because they don't acknowledge TWIC cards as ID. Had I driven to any of the ports in Virginia, the process starts over again.

Down here licensed C G Captains, home land security and any one entering the ports by water used them as ID
We didn't need any other ID.
Like you said, just to get another buck from you.

Use to go to a customer years ago, still a customer, and they "required" our Social Security number to get on site. First time I laughed and turned around. Next time I just made a number up and they said I am clear to enter.......

Nobody gets my SS#, unless I cant produce an account number.....unless I'm trying to get into my bank account. IN PERSON, or my insurance company needs it. Much like the phone call I got not long ago. Dude wanted my SS number so he could update my BCBS/UNITED HEALTH CARE INSURANCE. I told him I did have my card on me, but give me your number and Ill call you right back in about 12 minutes when I get home. Dumbass gave me a working phone number. Passed it on to the sherriff office. They called him back, used the caller ID and busted him in Raleigh NC.

I only show my company ID. If they want other numbers, I never argue and just make some up. If they need a signature on papers other than a BL, I just "John Doe" them.

@ Johnson & Johnson warehouse just west of Plainfield, IN we had a drop & hook every day. About the 3rd time I arrived (they already had @ least 2 copies of my CDL) I refused to show my CDL. But instead offered them my ABF picture ID badge AND a (full size not the credit card kind) US Passport with my name on it. At first they refused me entry. When I got a Johnson & Johnson supervisor to come out to the gate, only then did he ok my passport for ID. Found out later they were waiting on that shipment to turn it around. As soon as I dropped it, the yard jockey put it in a door. Because we were Union we did not have to show our CDL except entering the Indpls Intl Airport, any government reservation (Grissom Air Force Base) & the Federal Penn in Terre Haute, Indiana. Now 3 years after going to J & J they accept company picture ID. Go figure. von.

I guess this is why my Coop Dispatch check is signed " John Doe?"

Before 9/11, I was on and off Camp Leujune, and surrounding bases in Jacksonville NC, everyday. Sometimes twice a day. None of the MP's asked me for ID. Building HP1 was headquarters. All the big brass has an office there. In the beginning, I would park my rig in front of the building, go inside, and search out who I needed to see. Many months later, I was parked out front, looking for my contact person, when someone yelled out, "Who's damn truck is parked in the street"? From another office, someone yelled out, "That's Clifton's truck, Sir". To which the first voice said, " Oh.
Ok". I knew right then, I had command
Lolololol.

Is last like never raise your hand when they ask for volunteers? First day @ MCRD we all learned that lesson. von.

Same as running your mouth.
An instructor was telling us you never move a 2.5 ton truck with less than 60lbs of air, you have absolutely no brakes
I informed him he was wrong, you still have brakes on this air over hydraulic system, just not as good without air.
After picking up cigarette butts on a parade field big as Columbia S C for 3 days, I realized maybe the good
sargent may have been right and I was mistaken.
A day in the life of a Ft. Jackson Boot.

I went to FedEx freight Friday for a pick-up they wanted my drivers license, I just looked at them like they lost their minds

You guys haven't ever seen the " LAST " threads on these forums ? I know seabreeze has. I think 5900 of Big Dave's 5985 posts are professing how last he is. It was just to be funny. Except I really do sign them papers " LAST ". So maybe that makes me last after all. Hard to say. The competition for last can be fierce.
