We also heard the contract before this one that they needed the 7% cut in pay & the weeks vacation to be competitive with the other carriers rates & to purchase new equipment. That turned out to be nothing more than bullshit! This company has become nothing more than a bunch of greedy con artists over the last 10 years & cares nothing about it’s workforce, union and non....

The twin screws are for the added weight coming with their new platform loading system. 53's are for a few reasons. Trailer swaps, hold more freight to peddle out of and to cut out a hostler bid or two.

Platform loading system? I’ve been retired for a while...you’ll have to explain that one for me.

Trailers with rollers in the floor? Some kind of container or pod that holds freight of a couple of skids that push on or pull off the trailers with rollers? If using anything beyond skids to move the freight, might be the reason for the twin screw. Will the 5th wheel be fixed? Using a pup trailer with a twin screw must have the 5th wheel preset to keep from damaging the equipment. Especially the mud flaps & their holding brackets when turning. von.

they have in-cab sliders. if everyone remembers to slide them to the rear before droping
I think I’m getting a ‘mental picture’ of it now...these racks are pre-loaded outside of the trailers then rolled inside? One advantage I see right off the bat is the inevitable ‘hot freight’ that comes in almost daily, and always seems to be in the nose of the trailer. The dock guys roll out the rack, and presto!!!...there it is! No having to back-strip trailers would save some time.
