FedEx Freight | INSURANCE BENEFIT CHANGES

This insurance sucks. Our deductibles are now up in the stratosphere and you will spend thousands before they contribute one single penny. What a joke.

The clowns will be along shortly to say our insurance is great. It is a joke sad we can't do better. PSP = profit service profit....

Check out the Insurance cost @ ABF. I bet they are a lot lower than your current employer. In fact, the new ABF Contract has the rank & file paying NOTHING each week. If you & the family have a lot of medical expense, it might be worth a change of employers. Just a thought. von.

The current top rate for the city board @ ABF in Indy on the new contract is 24.50 with the give back. Are you telling me that the top rate @ Fed Ex is 28.50 an hour?
The LOWEST top rate is currently $27.43/hr & $.6484/mi. Highest $30.18 & $.7180, depending on location.

But please, don't tell anyone.

Note: Someone representing RC & Co. will be along shortly to tell you something about the hourly rate for road drivers in the Communist Republic of California, not included in the above numbers.

Road rate in San Diego is $37.92.

That is great. I can see why qualified drivers would go some where else for 160.00 more each week. What is that, about 8 grand more a year? von.
If your job pays your families insurance then that will come out of each check. $100 plus each week at my company, so it’s not a large a disparity as it first appears. It’s what you bring home that counts

You also have to manage your own HRA, the money will no longer automatically pay out when you use your insurance. We are getting a new administer for it and the hsa.
There are also price increases mentioned for the employees, yet they are making changes to save fedex money, broad and narrow, options. Ultimately the coverage will get worse or you will have to pay out the ass for an insurance that will break you, with the out of pocket cost, if you ever actually use it.
You mean a NEW FSA not HSA. A HSA is a different ball game and also we do qualify for a HSA(Health savings account)due to our high deductibles. Anyone need another tax shelter like the 401K, this is a great way to save and invest towards your future medicals and you will NEVER lose the money but also it can only be used for medical purposes only.
