TForce | FAQS ON UPS TEAMSTER STRIKE PAY

This is the problem, you no guys have no clue what happens when you strike.

And the TDU is full of it, they have not made a sound since ups stopped picking up freight.

Can you afford to pay $1000+ a month for medical coverage, your rent or morgage, car payments ,food and clothing for your kids? Lets not forget utilities and phones, on a strike check.

If not you had better think very hard about which way you vote. Because no one who is pushing for a no vote and a strike is gonna give you a dime, because they will be broke also.

Good point Reasonable,I had my teamster pension cut by 29% last year.
Because the Fund is in a shortfall,so doubt there is enough money to support 12000 strikers.

The pension fund and the strike fund have NOTHING to do with each other. Again your a poor excuse for a teamster trying to equate the two!

The guys before you could not afford to do it neither but they did that's why you've got what you've got now and why I've got what I have

Well said, UPS is not giving another dime toward the contract and if you strike the loss of business will be devastating. Unlike UPS, UPS Freight has several hundred competitors across the USA ready, willing and able to gobble up our business. This will leave thousands of you unemployed and without a paycheck and insurance.

Ya I have 36 years in the Teamsters and I have been through good and bad times so stop your crying

You'll be crying if you go on strike because the business won't be coming back. Estimate now is even if the contract passes we lose up to 15% of the business because our best paying business has found much cheaper alternatives. This means a bunch of us will not be coming back to work.

so you are retired but for those still working, we better realize this last offer is it and we have it pretty damn good compared to the non union and the union under the central states pension fund.
Stop sounding like me sters and act a Teamsters we all have what we have because some of us had to stand up at some point to these companies

so you work for ABF, gotta wonder how you are going to like a 50% hit to your pension when you retire because the pension are underfunded by tens of billions of dollars.
I have lots of friends that are very concerned that their wont be anything left in their multi employer pension plans when they retire or that they will have to work more years to receive it.
