So are there actually Teamster Drivers now that do not know how to shift? That is what it has come down to?
I don't think so. But I did hear that they road tested a guy who didn't have doubles on his license the other day. Presumably they would get the endorsement before actually starting work. The main reason is automatics have lower maintenance costs and get better fuel economy. But its popular at the break table to lament the lack of skill in the new generation, just like its been since the beginning of time.So are there actually Teamster Drivers now that do not know how to shift? That is what it has come down to?
I heard if you take tour cdl test with a automatic that's what your licensed for, meaning you can't drive a standard....So are there actually Teamster Drivers now that do not know how to shift? That is what it has come down to?

So if a junior guy only has an automatic license and a senior guy has a regular license, the junior guy would end up with a new truck and the senior guy would end up with the old crappy truck? And to go further, if the new truck is hooked to a 500 mile run and the crappy standard shift truck is hooked to a 300 mile trip how does that work?I heard if you take tour cdl test with a automatic that's what your licensed for, meaning you can't drive a standard....
Damned good questionSo if a junior guy only has an automatic license and a senior guy has a regular license, the junior guy would end up with a new truck and the senior guy would end up with the old crappy truck? I don’t know? I wonder if Abf accepts that kind of license....So if a junior guy only has an automatic license and a senior guy has a regular license, the junior guy would end up with a new truck and the senior guy would end up with the old crappy truck? With the demand for drivers I don’t know if they would wave thatIf a Haz Mat endorsement is required to be hired as a driver wouldn't it make sense that a normal (non-restricted) CDL would also be required?
What if the new truck is equipped with a three on the tree???And some who are shifty!

This shouldn't happen on linehaul, All linehaul tractors are automatic 16 and up.
A drill instructor yelled at me, THAT HE WAS GOING TO HIT ME SO HARD, MY WHOLE FAMILY WAS GOING TO GRUNT!!!!The instructing sargeant informed us that the first time he saw any of us hooking the steering wheel with our arm to grab both sticks,...he would break off the offending arm and jam it up our posterior,
