I was told that the PTO you earn begins getting cashed into your paycheck instead of accruing once you reach a certain amount (I think it is 120 hours, but maybe not). As far as I know vacation time can just keep stacking up, although they do decline requests to use it if too many people already have the day off. Unless something has changed you can cash in both without taking any time off after one year on the job.
They have never been very clear at my terminal as far as the fine print goes for vacation and PTO. For example, just by chance I learned that using a personal day is a 2 for 1 event that doesn't result in any points, because I got very sick a while back and was surprised to have only tacked on one point even though I missed four days.
A co-worker also recently told me that we're supposed to get eight hours of pay for both days of a personal day event (assuming you miss both) regardless of how many hours you have saved up. I find that hard to believe, but he tells me the HR guy at my terminal told him this. I generally don't miss very many days so the point system doesn't really concern me that much, but it would be nice to see all the rules in writing instead of going off word of mouth.
Maximum accruals are 240 hours for vacation time and 160 hours for personal time. How much vacation time can you roll over each year if at all? Also does the sick time roll over, I know we only get 4 days a year. Thanks.
that is the correct answer...Maximum accruals are 240 hours for vacation time and 160 hours for personal time.

i've been over on sick and vacation for the last 2 years so here is the correct answer to the question you asked. on your anniversary date (we'll start with sick hours 1st) anything over 108 hours they pay you on your weekly check. (example i had 170 hours minus 108 they paid me 62 hours new balance 108. vacation pay same thing they pay you on your anniversary date anything over 240 (example i had 268 minus 240 they paid me 28 hours new balance 240. So to conclude when your date of hire date comes up anything over 108 sick and 240 vacation will be paid out. hope this helped
Having had family members that died from cancer that were able to continue benefits for months while they slowly died, I know the wisdom of not using sick pay as fast as it is accrued.U must bleed purple koolaid! All work and no play! Lol.

I’m guessing all time accrued would be based on the years of service provided by the host, and that amount of time acquired by the host could indeed be divided by the number of entities found at RC & Co...but I would have to look back at “the guidelines” to be sureSo, the question that begs to be asked is...
Do each of us at RC and Co get vacation and sick time based on how long each entity has been around?
Asking for a voice.
