It's always easy to speculate, but more and more of these accidents seem like inattentiveness is a real factor in alot of them, maybe not so much with this one because of lack of details, but certainly in alot that get posted here.

Initial report, Started with One Semi that rear ended a 4 wheeler causing both of them to cross the median into oncoming traffic, That initial accident caused the Oncoming fatal wreck.

With this new information I find that the kids were from the faith I follow.
As I've been an Apostolic from the Pentecostal Church International in my area since 1981.

Somewhat off topic but I just got home from a wild game supper that a local Pentecostal church does every year for the community. There were about 300 people there. I am friends with some of the people there. Here in the hills hunting & fishing is a favorite past time. Many hunters donate their game to soup kitchens to help those who would not normally have meat in their diet.
