Mostly new routes are "tached" but using GPS, rather than a tach wheel. But in some cases there is a committee at JAC, which settles disputes regarding "paid miles". They use previously settled and agreed to "common" points.
With electronic logs tho, the log matches the driven miles. It's downloaded from the engine. Can't cheat or hide.

My boss pays Driving what the truck says. And hourly for each On duty minute it's not moving.
 
next we will all be called to the hall on a weekend and the BAs will talk about the contract proposal and tell us why we should vote yes on the contract proposal
plus...nobody is going to get a look at this proposal until the meeting at the hall

This contract is going to be a joke! The company crys poor while handing out all types of bonuses to management. Or spending $800,000 on a new camera system at 309 (installed by a non union contractor). That's something our local should have fought agaisnt! An employee can destroy freight/fork a drum and there's no consequences. God forbid you forget to punch in, that's a letter. 309 is the worst. An undeserving female supervisor w/ about 2 years on the job got a promotion over at least 4 better candidates with much more experience. It's a well know fact she was having an affair with the lead. Total joke! Screw management & vote to strike. FULL RATE OR LOCK THE GATE!

I'm just curious how many terminals have done there spring bids. Or are they going to wait till after contract. I do no 135 had there bids posted, but 324 didn't no when they where going to have them ready.
