FedEx Freight | New and/or expanded centers

I remember someone mentioning that NHS is the biggest, but that might have been as measured by tonnage and not doors.

POS- Adding 30 doors
NNW- Replaced SNW. Brand new center about 180 doors
ENJ- Center refurbished from another company opened this year in Elizabeth, NJ
NHC- Breaking ground on a new center.
Rockaway, NJ A refurbished center from another company will be opening this spring.
PVD- Providence,RI is adding doors to their building
I hear Pocono has to put heat on the dock because of the sprinkler system that has to be added for the expansion? ABF ia also having one installed & it's a charged system, meaning they don't have to put heat on the dock....

The rule used to be skirts north of the Mason Dixon line. Are heaters geographically determined?
The rule was north if I70 gets them. IND tried for years to get them and we could throw a rock and hit 70 but since we were south of it we couldn't. We would plow a few inches of snow off our dock a few times every winter. A redshirt even took pictures of snowmen and hills we built with all the snow on the dock and got in trouble for using company property improperly.

I worked in a terminal in northern VA for awhile. The wind blew the snow across the dock too fast to build a proper snow”person”.

Not a new center but I’m surprised they are in the process of installing heat on the CGT dock.
Heating by forklifts not turning off when leaving seat?

They need a filtration systrm over there. Filthiest dock Ive yet seen in the system.

EFH is getting additional 500k pounds of freight sent their way. Supervisors were not told where it’s coming from or what kind of freight it is. Guess it’s all happening come Jan. With them getting that busy I think the relaxed calm atmosphere will go away. Anyone who runs to that hub probably knows what I mean.
Use to run that lane for yrs. Just as long as Keith and John are dispatching. It should run smooth.
