Wondering how many retired 'truckers' watch this site?

I guess I'm the longest retarded one here on TB, I'm very fortunate, women still lust after me and husbands fear me.
I'll bet not many on here have ever lit the old smudge pots on the road for a breakdown, pulled Mont Eagle or old
Fancy Gap with an A50 Mack or L200 IHC.
BTW, don't believe this crap about the "Good Ole Days"
Never used a smudge pot, but seen'em in use. Climbed Mont Eagle from a two lane road one night, just off 24. Even ran Fancy Gap, on 52 in the dark, going North, loaded.

A lot of guys think I-77 is Fancy Gap, did you ever see the Hennis Freight Lines trucks at the bottom of the (Hennis Hole?)
BTW, You must be old as kerosene!

I retired my City P&D Position march 5th Of this Year. The same day i started my new Full time Job as a City Transit Bus driver for Valley Transit in the City of Appleton Wi. Its a Great alternative to Peddling Freight and its One of The Last Teamster Jobs available from the city with a Pension and Free Health care. Hopefully i can do it for 5 years before i retire from Driving for good.

Kerosene was invented a day or two before my time. It was clear back then.
