Yellow | Dont Be Bought For $4

CF was to big to fail but closed on Labor Day. Now YRCW is saying Memorial Day. Not only will the 3 day weekend that ends summer be a bad memory for the teamster. Now it looks like the 3 day weekend that start the summer will be to.

Whaddaya mean? The last 10 years have been a nightmare. :17142:

You’ll have to verify what I’m saying is correct yourself.
If management gets stock options, when those options vest every Union employee gets $750. If officers of the company get a bonus, double that amount is given to the union side and split between all employees. Management raises will not exceed the percentage of the raises we get. However, lower level management can get bonuses for achievements such as productivity etc....
All this is in the master portion of the contract. It’s on TDU, and the IBT webpages. Take the time to read it.

Don't think for a minute they don't have a way around that, otherwise they wouldn't let it get in there.

That's what they want so they can blame it on the GREEDY union members!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:violin::violin:

What else would you call those who would vote themselves out of a job? (I can think of a few things besides greedy.) It's one thing to fight for a bigger slice of the pie when a company is profitable and making money but quite another when a company is struggling. Don't you think?

Triplex, some of the mentalities are mind numbing .Its amazing how much crazy stuff I hear.Hell they just think it then spew it out as fact.I swear I think much if our rank and file quit school when they were 15 and did so because they were flunking. Now they are voting on our future .Scary stuff man .

In contrast to the few that appear to be Geniuses.so intelligent you would think that this job would be beneath them. you would think They would on their own company

Obviously not the ones that recognize that it's a good job and want to maintain it and are thankful for it.

But I would have to agree with you with the ones that think it's a miserable job and they can do so much better.

My thoughts exactly ff. You really have to wonder what kind of thought process some have (or don't have possibly).

when you hear that yrcw makes over 5 billions in PROFITS!!! just blows my mind the level of ignorance with many of my coworkers
Ok, look it's not a crime to not know about accounting and accounting terms. What is a crime is to have it explained to you, and if not understand them, to instead keep on the same path ignorant of the facts. Does anyone, ANYONE, really think that a public traded companys accountants would risk prison time to falsify records? I'm not talking about the jail down the street, It's a Federal crime to report falsely, TIME IN A FEDERAL PRISON for the hearing impaired.
If your want a third party to represent you in the workplace, why they hell can't you trust their OWN accountants. This isn't rocket science, why the hell are you making this so hard?

Very true!!

These lying pricks at YRC and the slimy union bosses who will get their pensions are asking you to continue a reduction in your pension and give you less than a $1 a year raise. Are you that weak that you can be bought for $4 ?

If they want to close let them close. There are a LOT of other jobs out there. We have the power, they are the ones that need drivers to pull the freight and unload and load it and answer the phones. These executives are making upper 6 figures. You have to struggle to make 70k a year. Dont let them steam roll you.

Send Ernie back and get that pension back to 100% funded and at least another 3 to 4 dollars an hour over the life of the contract. Inflation will eat your raise. $80 a barrel oil is on the horizon which means $3 plus gasoline this summer.
Thank God I found someone that makes sense concerning this contract. I have argued till I have no more arguing on the Holland board (I retired from Holland after 25 yrs) to not bite the carrot until they address the pension problem. The bright lights and shiny 1 week of vacation is all they are concerned with. I was called a fool, stupid and an ungrateful bastard over this POS contract and it's lack of pension funding. Not mentioning the lost 15 percent you will never see a penny of.

I felt the same way.... one guy said all that I wanted to do was was close the doors...not .I want a fair contract.

Not just that, the last 3 years they can’t even man up & pay the increases 4/1, its split 4/1& 10/1 (50% of that years increase )

If something doesn't change operationally I don't think we will ever see the $ 26/ hour.
Giving back over a billion dollars is going to be a huge challenge for this company to overcome.
I know everyone wants more but we have to be realists with their finances and operational
abilities. Taking that into consideration I think Ernie did a hell of a job.
