My Brothers at New Penn, we are Getting The Largest Raise in LTL History
No other LTL carrier has secured a $4 raise and A Week of Vacation on day 1 at that
May not be what everybody wants and everyone is finding their own reason to vote no but putting billions of dollars into an insolvent Pension and trying to get $10 on top of the $4 is not only not going to happen but Why try to close the company behind it and go to the bottom of somebody's roster having to work a full year to get a week of vacation and climb the progression scale again working with less seniority than coworkers our children's age
At least a gesture of the Largest Raise in LTL History is a step in the right direction

The raise is nothing to celebrate when you look at what was given up for the last 10 years.

And granted there is a valid argument fir NOT putting more into pension funds that our own union leaders tell us are not going to be there,
But there is no reason it couldn't be written in this contract that the contribution being made can go into a 401k if the employee so chooses.

Doing so costs the company nothing more then what they are paying it does now, but it does benefit the employee tremendously.

401k your issue
Pension her issue
$10 more his issue
So on and so on
Everyone has their own reason
Just vote No and go on nobody is stopping you

Well starred laugh and we're making about $4 an hour more than you are now
That's fine
Thank God for the families that benefit from it
Nothing wrong with us trying to support our families as well without being trolled rather it be 4 10 or $20 an hour less
You just can't stand that our situation is getting better
Not as good as yours but that's not the goal
But have fun and enjoy it
You make more than me

We were told ours is in the top 3 pesnison funds and everybody in the room would get every penny of our pensions. Central PA.....I think there's some kind of contribution to other pensions also....8% is the number though I don't know what the 8% relates too.

First I’m happy to hear your fund is good shape and there will be a pension for hardworking people to collect.

Funds that have deemed themselves in danger or insolvent, which mine is one of. Will receive an eight percent increase each year IF they do a rehabilitation plan they would then max out at 66 percent instead of 25 percent. When I asked my BA about it his answer was there’s no argument to be made, it’s like asking the company to throw money in a black hole.
