"Teamsters union executives who negotiated the agreement said they extracted as much money from YRC as possible. The head of the union’s freight division, Ernie Soehl, warned last week that shippers will likely pull their freight from YRC should the contract be rejected. Should that happen, the three operating companies may go out of business before May 31, the date a two-month extension to the existing contract comes to an end, he said.

Satish Jindel, head of SJ Consulting, said YRC shippers have remained supportive of the company during the negotiations. He also said that he is supremely confident that the rank-and-file, knowing what’s at stake and the money that YRC is spending, will ratify the contract. “If they can read English, they cannot even think of voting this down,” he said."

If they can read. They will not even think of voting this down.
This is what they think of U @ The Rank & File.
Its up to U @ The Rank & File to change their perception of U!

What they think of you is that you can read English. Please don't change their perception and prove to them that you struggle with even the basic decisions in life.

I no longer work there and what I know about the situation mostly comes from truckingboards. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. If this passes, will it mean a paycut for people who are dock only? It's the non CDL driver pay scale that is giving me that impression.

Trust me. I'm not struggling with anything but the continued mistreatment of the Rank & File Teamsters who still feel trapped into accepting Company favorable contract offers after a decade of obvious screwing to the rear end. There is life after YRC & their BS.

No, the dock gets the same raise as pnd shuttle and hostle
They created a new position called non cdl drivers
They'll drive what they call small boxtrucks
No cdl needed
No DOT
No random drugscreens
$2 an hour less to handle small packages and to help eliminate outside carriers handling cartage freight
Dock gets the same raises we do
