Insurers Know Exactly How Often American Drivers Touch Their Phones

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/arti...rican-drivers-touch-their-phones?srnd=premium

This is how they're going to "sell" the idea of autonomous (self driving) cars/trucks. People are just not safe...

They’ll carpet bomb us with the usual tactics: Fear (see above). Greed (you’ll make/ save money). Jealousy (look how far along Europe and Asia are). Laziness (look, life is easy now)...

The bottom line is simple. World governments want to control the population. If you can’t drive yourself, you can’t move yourself and your family without the vehicle allowing you to do it. Those who control the software, control the population.

I am wondering then, who gave theinsurance companies, and cell carrier permission to monitor your activity on your phone? Have said it many times before. If these cell companies, insurance companies, and the states really cared about safety while driving, cell phones should have the same technology in them like many hand held computers we use. At around 10 mph, they would have the screen go black, and not operational. But as usual, profits are ahead of safety.

Agree, and have also noted the SIMPLE solution. There is a reason it hasn't been solved that way. I believe there are agenda driven reasons for all of this being allowed to get worse.

700-truck Falcon Transport maroons freight, equipment, drivers and bills in sudden closure

https://www.ccjdigital.com/900-truc...tm_term=newsletter-2-daily-position-top-story

"The Youngstown, Ohio-based fleet deployed text messages, emails and messages via ELDs to drivers and workers notifying them to halt work.

The closure left drivers stranded without jobs, pay, access to fuel or even a way home. The fleet also left millions of dollars in freight stranded roadside and at truckstops, along with leased trucks and company owned equipment, according to a company official. Falcon also had been skipping payments to brokers and insurers."

Absolutely despicable.:cuss:

The employees and customers only ones who suffer. Bet the owners walked away with plenty of money.

A good example of a large percentage of your business tied up with 1 customer.(GM) Like the article said, moving a lot of expedited freight. A lot of automotive shipments now barely pays the fuel, and driver, let alone any profit.

At least in the Midwest, since the speed limit on interstates went back up to 70mph, like 6-7 years ago, they may as well take the signs down, because it is our of control now. I don’t know why states don’t mount those speed cameras on overpasses, and utility poles? Those things would pay for themselves in a few months.

Oh, it's certainly coming, as part of the previously mentioned "monitoring/surveillance". Step out of line, you'll get your bill in the mail (email?)
