Since FXFE drivers in Stockton, Ca voted to KEEP Teamster representation, there seems to be nearly a news blackout on the topic.

One news source on the topic.
The International Brotherhood of Teamsters will maintain a foothold at FedEx Corp.after drivers at a FedEx Freight facility in Stockton, Calif., voted to continue membership in the union

It seems odd to me that there is silence on both the FedEx news page, as well as the Teamster page.

Now then, is any one curious about why the silence, or more importantly, why a significant majority voted to maintain representation?

I'm certain there are valid reasons and I'm curious what yo think those reasons are. Don't be shy...

Perhaps they realized early on it was fruitless to get on here and have arguments with people that don’t even work here or certainly in STK such as Ump, Runaway Train, White and Johdeere 4020 who belittled everything we were trying to do. Or perhaps how in every decent thread at some point the conversation always turns into comments about a damned hat . Just sayin..... oddly now RT can see the need for a CBA. Go figure.

Or, just maybe, they are satisfied with the representation received. They have certainly handled the matter quite differently than any other location, from the very beginning.
Something must have happened , how do you go from having enough to petition for decertification to a clear win?

If I remember right you can file for an election either way with like 1/3 of total voters in support.
Yep, close enough. 30% is all the NLRB requires. It is/was the teamsters that required a super majority in order to petition for representation.

This whole exercise proves once again that we were right. If the majority of employees want to kick the Union out, they can. Stockton COULD have easily done so, but a strong majority chose not to.

Anyone recall the narrative that is was nearly impossible. :chairshot:

Can't believe I missed this one. Valid point.

Also worth mentioning, STK had/has no "merry band" bent on sabotage of the effort, from day one.

Despite my surprise, I'm not in any position to judge their majority decision. Curious? Absolutely.

I can speculate with the best. But if I had any inside scoop, I wouldn't even be able to do that.
