Does anyone have any solid information on this subject in today's dollar amount?
I thought I read it somewhere but, it eludes me. .lol

YRC pays right at $400.00 a week for health and welfare to anyone in Central States. $200.00 per person,or $400.00 for family deductible,and$2,300 out of pocket per year.

upstate ny - $600 a week for health, $80 a week for pension. Health has $250 family deductible through Excellus BCBS.
If their paying $600 a week here in NY for health insurance and spouses that work are offered coverage and they have to take it as their primary. YRC and the Teamsters are getting hosed for what their paying.

If your spouse works then the teamster insurance becomes 2nd. Coordination of benefits. Happens every day.
Actually ifbo

Actually if your wife has separate coverage from a different plan then the primary insurance is based on Birthday so if your wife’s birthday is before yours hers is primary and yours is second

i dont think they have a choice, iirc ny has had certain rules on health insurance plans since the 90s, that jack the price up....

its why you can get comparable coverage in other states for hundreds less, and also why a lot of white paper contract teamsters in ny arent in the h&w plan.
