Life

And drive a CAB twenty HOURS a DAY THATS OK!! LIFE
from the article:

For those millions of full-time gig workers, getting recognized as a full-fledged employee — at Uber, Lyft and elsewhere — is not coming anytime soon. This week the Department of Labor clarified that these workers are to be classified as independent contractors that are not entitled to health insurance and other benefits that would force companies to follow federal minimum-wage laws. (However, companies still have to abide with local minimum wage requirements.)"

first, who told these people to get a second or third job?

if they had a real higher paying first (and only job) they would NOT NEED to supplement thier income.

next, who tells these people to have more than one child...???

seem to stand to reason, MORE mouths to feed, the more money you need, ergo, as for a pay raise at your first job.

i think way too many people are paying out copious amounts of money for things like after school child care, expsenive clothing so the kids don't get thier chops busted by thier peers, and buying overly priced foods at "organic" stores, over ordinary foods at the local grocer or walmart., or every stinking new video game console that is marketed or every stinking new phone that Apple pushes onto them.

when people live BEYOND thier means, then screw them....it's ALL THIER FAULT, and we are supposed to feel sorry for them cuz they drive uber/lyft for $100 per day.,..??

did any of these morons ever stop to THINK, that taxes have to be paid on ALL income..????

oh sure, some most likely do not report some of the extra income, but now comes any deductions they take for the gasoline, and wear and tear on the vehicles.....

life is tough, i agree, but i "see" where the people that are being "squeezed" are doing it to themselves.

ok, first, you posted a link regarding Uber drivers...now it's anti union walmart...

please make up my mind.>??

pick a victim, and stick to it..???

walmart has NOTHING to do with the Uber driver making $100 per day.

as for shopping at walmart, frankly it's about the only big store still around in my area.

so where would i shop..??

exspensive small independant retailers..??

uhh...no..

i like saving some money on purchases.

there is only so much i can buy online.

even the big brick grocery chains here are VERY costly.

so where should i shop, to satisfy your walmart anti-union voice.>??

I DID work for a union shop at one time...know what...??

BEST decsision i ever made to QUIT them....

state, federal labor laws had been enacted decades ago, if a company does anything to violate them?

you don't need a union for protection.

******* need union protection, cry babies need union protection, lazy assed people need union protection

go to the local labor board, when working at a non-union company

you get a union pay raise..??

you get a union dues raise as well.

all companies HAVE THE RIGHT to shop around for the lowest cost medical benefits...UNION OR NOT, so tell me how it feels when you have a higher co-pay for doctor visits or meds...

you shop where you want/please to shop...but walmart LIKE ANY OTHER EMPLOYER, has the right to fire you especially in "right to work states"

and given enough "fodder" YOPU CAN BE FIRED from a union job...

so get off the pro-union Bullsh!t.....
