Thanks Wong, you have unclassified our new synergies package,.
At this very moment, Coop is expermenting by mixing 50% H2o with our fuel supply, if we can just get it to burn,
our fuel savings will be slashed by half.
BTW, Donna is looking for you!

Turned on my logging device after being off the weekend I mysteriously have my full 70hrs available I thought the 34hr reset was voluntary guess not? Now management telling me you have to keep track of your own hours and I bet if you tell them you don't have enough available they will discipline you saying hours available and will have to file a grievance over it.

They started doing that when the union allowed them to try the 34 hr restart on a trial basis. It’s up to you to keep track of your hours. They’re banking on you saying the hell with it and using the restart. IMO

Increased cap to 29% for YRC Freight purchased transportation wow don't remember reading that in the contract? How are you going to attract and retain employees with no pension or 401k match? Loan maturity in 2022 look for them to do another MOU freeze wage increases.
29% includes rail and PTS

We didn't do it here in Chicago this was the first time for me. It just automatically changed but like I said when you tell them you don't have hours available they are going to issue discipline saying you have hours available we shouldn't have to keep track it ourselves we will have two sets hours available if stopped by Police and DOT.

We don't need to attract new employees
We have hundreds with outstanding interviews that'll never leave
Even with $90000 minimum jobs at their disposal they'd rather stay at Ole Yella
So don't worry about that and by the way we have plenty of new employees in Dallas and some More training now

Ok I'm not the brightest bulb in the pack but what's the big deal if, For example, New Penn & YRC share a terminal in Milton Pa?
Still gonna be 2 different companies correct? Still gonna have different senority lists correct? Still gonna be two different operations correct?
And where in the new Contract does it say the lists will be merged?
Did I miss something? remember I'm not the brightest bulb in the pack!!! lol

Merger of Terminals by Commonly-Owned Separate Employers Covered by this Agreement Seniority shall be dovetailed when commonly owned separate employers covered by this agreement merge (in a shutdown or partial shutdown) two (2) or more terminals. If, after the dovetail, there is insufficient work at the remaining location(s), the remaining affected employees shall be entitled to all contractual rights including Article 5, Section 5 rights but shall have moving expenses paid as set forth in Article 8, Section 6. For purposes of this entire section, employees shall remain in their previous health and welfare and pension funds. The Employer at the remaining location(s) shall use all efforts to find work opportunity for all displaced employees. All items under this provision shall be contained in an approved Change of Operations Committee decision. All other issues shall be addressed by the Change of Operations Committee consistent with the language of the Agreement.

So I am a guest on this board but as a former CFCC employee that lost a job through the dovetail that occurred when ABF brought us I have a question. When YRC puts two subsidiary companies in one physical location that gives YRC the OPTION to merge them or can they continue to operate as independent entities, say a Holland barn moved in with a YRC barn, or is a merger of the two MANDATED?

If you would like to circumvent the forcing of the 34 hour restart; simply go into your device and add a 1 minute event in the middle of your time off, this will eliminate the reset.

It’s not mandated, however if it will improve the bottom line, then it may be likely. A lot of new language in this regard.

I know this is ancient history, but years ago, a merger required companies with parallel operating authority to
dovetail the boards, since operating authority is no longer an issue, I would think this would no longer be contract.
( a non union co. would end-tail)

If you look at the presentation that the company made for investors they show an example of their plan by showing an example of yrcw owns 3 terminals in a city under 2 separate companies- then after “optimization “ there is one terminal and one company serving that city. To me that sounds like they intend to merge at least some of the companies not just cohabitation. Seems pretty straight forward if you look at that example
