FedEx Freight | CORPORATE communication FEEDBACK

Remember back from the November video...

"Solution? Modernize our recruitment strategies, and increase the number of recruitment "managers" and "specialists", basically by 500%. Mentioned innovative initiatives and strategic partnerships."

Once upon a time, there was something called a referral bonus. And then there was said to be ongoing analysis of the Geographic Pay Differential (GPD). Anyone hear recent mention of such things?

No haven't seen any videos since Ducker. Better chance of hitting the lotto than them fixing the GPD the way it should be.

I have not noticed the CEOVIDEO on the clock but I will look for it. Not that it is ever used so we will see if it is tracked. I also recently celebrated my one year anniversary of not seeing any of the videos. Thank you again for the synopsis every month.

At my center they have the video playing for a couple days per month right by road/city dispatch. But for better or worse the volume is so low that you basically have to be standing six inches from the screen to hear any of what is being said.

Every now and then - usually when it's slow - we'll clock into education and watch the video. No complaints here if that's what they want to pay me for. But it seems like it would be worthwhile for someone to just print out bullet points of major topics the way SwampRatt does and put a few copies in the break room and/or pinned up around the punch clock or something.

It's sad that local leadership supersedes Corporate, on this. The effort/cost associated with providing direct communication, skipping the long chin of command, should be respected. Perhaps the clock to CEOVIDEO directive will put local centers on notice. They are watching.

Few know that the option is only up to the employee. Not leadership. If you WANT to see it, you absolutely can. Not negotiable/preventable. 'Course they don't have to make it easy. The DVD or any Company computer provides access, and the "clock" documents it as within policy.

Reading between the lines? :scratchhead:

Maybe it's just me, but the most significant underlying June theme, carrying the most weight (beyond Safety and a strong FY19), seemed to be - change is coming. That, and the ability to manage the change...

The reassurance that PSP (people 1st) will define the changes, makes me wonder a little bit. Also, the (expected) upcoming raise announcement, bonus payout, etc. lends itself to "speculation" of a good news/bad news scenario, going forward.
:idunno:
Recent road bid talk, and a fattening of the extra board, certainly falls in line with "ability to manage change". Flexibility?

Again, pure speculation. But the stage could be set for an attempt to balance popular with unpopular. Bitter offset with Sweet? Vice versa? The definition, in part, of "managed change".

Assuming positive intent (a PSP theme) is admirable and advised, but no excuse for not paying attention.

A lot of road drivers on this website are willing to watch the video but in real life, no road driver wants to watch? They don’t have time. It is interesting...
