That be an older style truck and only a decent handful of that style have a collision avoidance in them,, don’t see brake marks or nothin

I’m assuming you’re referring to the missing set of flip placards on the left side of the rear box? And I assume your implying the driver didn’t do a proper pretrip based on this? If my assumptions are correct you are ignorant because the missing placard holder would not have prevented this trailer from passing any type of inspection. You should really know what you’re talking about before passing judgement!

Watch your mouth Sir.I never said he didn't do a proper pre trip. The Driver is the only one that will know. But,Missing placard are just a few things that a driver should always notice and deadline or get fixed before leaving a service center per OD.Not Federal

But the truth is he most likely didn’t do a pretrip,, 92 percent of OD drivers don’t walk around their set after hooking it (while on off duty)

Right or wrong wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy.

Out here only 2018 and 19 have CMS.Havent seen any older trucks with it added on.

Whatever happened it appears the set rolled right over that car and maybe it caught on fire.

ABF was no different. Most did a walk around. Walking around a rig & not looking under the equipment or the hood does not make for a good pre-trip inspection. Company name has little to do with pre-trips. Its their drivers that make a difference. von.

I go by there every morning there are skid Mark's they're maybe 20ft in length 2 sets 1 before the bridge 1 after.

Not being privy to details, I won’t speculate who’s at fault. We all have guys that should up their game. I’ll just say that I’m surprised it doesn’t happen more often.

As the yearlings are being kicked out for the fawns, they say June is worse for accidents than fall. What’s the natural reaction for a four wheeler that just slid (a half second) in front of you? Slam on the brakes. Neat.

It’s also orange barrel season. Plenty of debris in or near road. Pop a tire? Slam on the brakes or struggle to control your minivan. Again, less than a second in front of us.

Don’t worry that I may lose my job. Don’t worry if I get prosecuted. Don’t worry that I’ll have to live with it for the rest of my life. Don’t worry, you’ll be DEAD.

Think it’s TN that has signs to give us room. Round here all we care about is watching out for motorcycles. Maybe we could do pop ups on cell phones cuz that’s what they’re looking at.

Frustrating
