Been to Dockside in Murrells Inlet several times
River View Wharf, was the best in the Carolinas, had a helium machine, get a dose for a quarter, talk like Donald Duck.
I doubt they would let "Hat" in this place, he and Wong would be embarrassing on Helium.

I've delivered in that area it's nothing more then a tourist trap
I was talking in general and across the country

Thanks Jeff back in the "good old days" . Hey Dave and seabreeze did you notice Flounder was on the menu in first right where he belongs HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY

Hello Jeff, those 70's flashbacks are Far Out, Groovy and Mind Bending!!

Some menu choices nowadays just slightly higher and other choices doubled (or beyond).
- - -
Dockside: Delicious Homemade Onion Rings $2.50, Whole Baked Potatoe $1.00, French Fried potatoes $1.50
"I'll have 2 Baked Potatoes".
- - -
Wayside Restaurant: WHOLE BABY FLOUNDER sums it up.
- - -
Calabash Seafood Restaurant: ALL YOU CAN EAT BUFFET.
In the 70's that Item was my choice.
- - -
How many of those Restaurants are still in Business??
"I Know Nothing!" about Myrtle Beach other than what events are "in the news".
- - -
A Merry Gnu Year to Y'ALL!!
CHEERS!! ;)

They had a helium machine, for a quarter you could inhale a dose and sound like Big Dave at a duck calling contest.
That was Dockside, most of the old ones are gone, but plenty new ones to take their place.
Food all taste the same these days, not like the old ones and certainly not the prices.

We ate at Calabash yesterday (Ellas restaurant) prices reasonable, food was good, not mind numbing.
This photo is called the Christmas House. 5/30/19, it's been there a long time.

My neighbor was stationed at the Myrtle Beach AFB back in the 60s. He told me the only thing south of the base on 17 was a motel and an ice cream stand. But prices have certainly changed in 50 years. My wife likes the Wicked Tuna on the Marsh Walk. Me I rather go up the road to the American Legion. They have the best burgers on the Grand Strand

I really dont even care for MB much now, I prefer the Outer Banks... Real laid back out there

A friend tried to get me to buy a lot back in 1956, for $750, told him I wouldn't have a lot at Surfside (S. of Myrtle)
Today it's commercial, I'll bet a million wouldn't touch it.
BTW, Dolly Parton was high bidder on the AFB when they decided not to sell.
Dollywood would have been located there.
