Yesterday during my lunch break I got a call from my wife. During our conversation we were talking about a new job, and I watched the light on the camera turn from green to red....

Once I contained my laughter, I exited the truck to continue the call. TM hasn't brought it up yet, but I'm sure it'll come up soon.

Anyone else have a similar experience?

As long as you were parked and your brakes were set nothing will be said. However, if you were parked you should have never triggered an event. They say they can’t remotely activate DriveCam but who the **** really knows.
 
When you shut the truck off, it will automatically download all events that were recorded, but I do believe they can remotely spy. It’s all bull ::shit:: no matter what.
 
When you turn the ignition off if it has events saved the light will go from green to solid red. If the could randomly turn it on and record they would have fired me and probably committed me to a mental hospital a long time ago

So true, they have to be tired of seeing me flip it off with a list of places to stick it !!!

You guys make up so much stuff. If the lift turns red while you are moving you have made the system detect an event. If you are not moving and shut your tractor off and the light turns red. It’s because the system has events stored in it and they need to be downloaded. Once downloaded. Every event goes to Lytx for review then to terminal if it’s a coacable event. No one is spying on you. I doubt they have time for that or even care what Your doing. My advice to you is get you an iPad download the Lytx app and you can login and see your videos everyday.

Your wrong. We have the same system at XPO, and they can turn it on whenever they want, even if the truck is turned off. As long as there is power to the camera, they can do it.

Who is they? Just call Lytx or research it. Nobody has remote access. If they tell you that they are lying. I’ve done the research and called to put them
In my truck I was buying. Makes the insurance cheaper and has saved my ass when I had a wreck. It downloads events then they are sent over a cellular connection. Not even Lytx can access your camera. You all believe what you want. But that is the truth about the system

You believe what they are telling you and that’s OK. The facts are that the technology exists to remotely activate the cameras as long as the system has power. Like your laptop camera or any other video camera for that matter. The technology is there so for you to believe otherwise makes you simply naive. You would be amazed at what GM’s “OnStar” system can actually do.

I know the technology exist. I also know the TM’S don’t have time on really care about spying if they could. If they are they need another job. But honestly I could care less. I make very good money here. Excellent benefits. I do my job safely. Grab my bills get off the yard and go to work. I don’t need a manger telling me thank you. I don’t need a cook out. I come here for a paycheck and that’s what I get. If they want to spy on me. That’s a boring day for them

No brother Joe! I retired perhaps before they did fire me. Everyone knows that one would be a lie. The cameras are what forced me out though because my health was good and I could have worked to my full retirement age of 66 ..... So I went at 63 and I must say it’s the best decision I’ve ever made in my life. It’s so nice when every day is Friday and every project I take on around the house can be done on my time. If it takes me 2 weeks to paint one room that’s just fine. I will just ignore the Ole Lady’s bitching like I always do.
