Holland | Interview . Columbus Ohio Terminal.

Hello everyone.

I decided to go with Holland instead of Yrc Freight. I have a interview coming up shortly with the terminal manager there. After that driving test and preemployment **** test and physical same day.

There running and check everything else now. Seem to going good so far.

The recurirter did tell me new City P@D Drivers/combo dock. Are only starting out at %90 percent of currenty top scale. Under new contract terms.

I wont be getting current top scale rate there. $23.19 hour. Sucks for me so be it.

Don't cry over 90% In 1992 we started at 85%.

Don't get caught up in what every body else is making. Just remember how easy the job is. And laugh all the way to the bank!
 
30 days after probation you jump to full pay , after us senior guys had to wait 3 years to get to full pay , so come on over and join the 60 plus hours work crew , Welcome aboard :guiness:

Not complaining just telling a little history to new guys and HAPPY we got NEW guys coming on board and Welcoming them aboard and Lets Make Trucking Great again in 2019 :guiness: And Uncle Trip is planning BIG Turkey Dinner party at the Cedar Rapids Convention Center & Door Prizes too !!!:clapping:
 
So anyone from the Columbus, OHIO Terminal. Have they hired any fulltime non-cdl dock/box car drivers yet.

From the parttime dock worker or off the street. Seen from the ad they were started them at top scale. $21 and some change.

I know one is working. I think he starts 7 am.
 
Question Guys. At The Columbus , Ohio Terminal. All new hire Fulltime Combo City/Dock workers. Aren't being trained at the terminal no more. Now they are sending them to Indy. Does anyone not what the training week is like or consist of?

Heard after that week week. start the next week at Columbus, terminal working on 30 probation period.

I was told they pay for Hotel for the week. Not sure if they pay u a wage or feed that week to?
 
Be ready to putting in 60 plus hours a week and -10 below dock work in winter ............
