ODFL | 2019 Freightliner

Haven't seen any new Cascadians yet this year. Not sure if we're getting any. The talk about the city Tonka trucks is some guys like the auto. And some guys think less fairings (none really) to get damaged. We've had one for a couple years. Our #2 P&D driver loves it.Does take a while to get it going if you're pulling any kind of weight.
They are not licensed at 80,000..Thinking they are at 50,000.We had a couple year the first year they got them.Didn't stay here long till they were shipped out because of not getting enough mileage on them

Gee Billy, don't be so tough on em..you know your HR only hires the best ...of the school boys that is..LOL oh and dont worry about pre and post trips, that idea goes right out the window once their hired here...along with many others I might point out..city and line both.

They were smart for once and assigned all 5.I passed when they offered.I'lI take my chances. But I can see why they like it.Like being in stop and go traffic holding that clutch. Or just having your own truck.

BTW. Had 4 new 2020 tractors show up this week. Not sure if they're ours or not.

We’re a rookie mill so we need the same equipment Swift has bc these monster energy addicts on the dock couldn’t figure out how to shift a 10 speeder
Aw come on we were all rookies you dont remember the wrinkley smoke in mouth old timers saying these kids dont know nuttin , they also said the same about doctors

Yeah you can say that, but the dumb monster drinking, saggy pants wearing morons we love to hire ain’t even able to drive their own cars
Backpack ,no socks ,1960's grandpa checkered pattern clothes and they leave circles all over windshield and zero character

I like the Cummins in my ‘19, but I HATE the adaptive cruise control... it’s more sensitive and obnoxious than on previous models...
I have a Detroit in a 2019. I understand from other driver’s that the Cummins are gutless and the engine brake isn’t all that great. Remember though, these boy’s are pulling triples. It’s not Kansas either. There’s a couple of mountain passes. Personally I like my tractor, it does the job. I do wish I had more power though. My engine brake does a great job going down my mountain. Barely touch the brakes. Old School, we were told how to use the transmission, terrain and engine to hold your speed. Billy and some of the other senior drivers can remember that OD never had engine brakes. You young pups would be smoking them brakes all the time.

That's odd... My Cummings engine brake is great in my 19!!! The one in my 18 with a Detroit only made noise. None of them pull anymore. My 13 would work circles around these newer tractors..
