I was told this by my local safety guy when I was hired. I heard of a few that did lose there job due to flipping sets. XPH had a driver drop his kite on the road right outside the XMI gate. The he pulled over unhooked the air line to the dolly and drove on. You could see the skid marks on the road. When they call him he was 50miles down the road. Guess what he didn't get fired for that.

Ok now you show me the guy in Orlando personal file. We have had guys caught with there phone in hand and are still working. Sound to me this guy had more in his file then he is will to tell us about

You missed the point. The guy in Orlando did NOT flip his set, or run a red light, or run a stop sign, or hit any stationary object.
 
You all need to go home put bars on you window, barricade you doors and never go outside again because it can be a scary place out there. I never seen in my life people sooooo scared of losing there job. It must really suck for you guys to getup and go to work every day.

Why would you disparage grown men afraid to sign a union card. Of course, they are afraid of losing their jobs. The union busters told them it could happen.
 
Well you guys are pushing the fear that you can lose you job just because they feel like it. We all know what an AT will employment is. Any one that I know that lost there job was impart to there action and there alone. This is the standard fear mongering. The same thing you pro guys bitch about the company using.

You're just not getting it. He needs you to do it all for him or it will never get done. So, it's your fault. Not his.

You really should get some information before you make a comment like this. If you don't know the extent of my efforts to support this cause, you should ask. If you already know the extent of my efforts, then your post is simply a way to disguise your own shame at not having the courage to stand up for yourself and find a way to solve the problems you have already acknowledged. It takes zero courage to put up with the bullshit or leave. Both are easy solutions. On the other hand, it difficult to rise up and take a stand against the corporate giant. You need to have the courage of your convictions and the HOPE that others will stand with you. I can tell you that standing alone is frightening because everything you have worked for is exposed and in jeopardy. For those of you who say put up or shut up...what have you done recently to support yourselves.

The comment should have read "I have done everything I could to secure a contract." They will not give ME a contract. When enough of you realize that YOU need a contract, that's when we'll get one.

Bad enough they fight us on a contract but too not make improvements to stem off any need for a contract speaks volumes on there concerns for us as driver . ::shit:: on us either way ! Speaks volumes. Shame

What I'm saying is show us what was all in the driver from Orlando file, ie: LOIs, other cam events. Then getting caught with his cellphone in hand while driving was the straw that broke the camel's back. It hard to believe he got fired for just that one event I sure there are other events in his file.....

This is another twisted ball of ::shit::. Out one side of your mouth. It's amazing what all you have accomplished. Out the other side. You say that you will never accomplish anything until I or the rest of us do.

You pro guys have fallen a long way from the whole " they can't stop us, we will get a contract ". Years later. Just like we all told you. No contract. And at my barn. The pro crowd has all but gone. They got their contract. Down the street at the UPS terminal. Cost them an application. Got hired damn fast. There's a shortage after all.

But maybe you have some hope in these young bucks coming up. Seeing a lot of diversity. And they all want that free health care and socialist government policies. Maybe they will turn the tide. Although, I must be honest. None of them seem to think the union will be of help. They want it to be the government that steps in.

Whatever the case. I am still very confident that the gates will close before you get your contract. XPO investing in an LTL was foolish. We can't deliver bedroom sets out of 53 footers with one over the hill driver and some house wife expecting white glove service. And as much as we all thought he could use us as a feeder network for warehouse to warehouse shipper tasks. That has all gone to 3PL. So what the hell does he do with us ? If he could find a buyer. That would have already happened.

Honestly, do you feel you will ever see a contract ? Do you see a future at XPO LTL ?

I have to ask you is what the union buster told them a complete lie or is there truth in his statement??? I worked at union shops and at will jobs the only one that showed me the door were the union one.

After all these years. Why would you expect improvement ? The company is being run into the ground. Pretty obvious. How do you get people to rally together to save a job that will be gone anyway ?

and when or if the govt goes to socialist healthcare. The Teamcare will be made illegal. Your taxes will go through the roof and the quality of service will go down.

Fun fact. GenX will never hold the vote. The millennials have already passed the baby boomers in population. As the baby boomers die off. The millennials will have that much more vote. Good news. The 2020 democratic candidates are horrific. Andrew Yang is the only one with a brain. And once people find out who he is and that he has a brain. They will hate him for it. So, pretty sure we will have 4 more years of Trump. And it's possible. After Donald. That one of the boys or even Ivanka might run. But, that is 6 years from now and a lot can and will change between here and there.

President Trump eats a LOT of fast food , red meat , and doesn't exercise a lot. Isn't President Trump also the oldest person to be sworn in for their first term?

With all of that said , the Democratic candidates are annoying , and too politically correct to get out of their own way so far.

No, I have said before it was his 3rd event. By the book, he gets fired. That's not what I was trying to say. What I am trying to say is that every situation is different. A 24 year employee with 2 million SAFE miles under his belt deserves some consideration. If this was a union shop, he would have the opportunity to file a grievance and there is a good chance he may have saved his job. An arbitrator has the ability to take his perfect record into consideration and may have ordered him back to work with back pay.

It's a complete lie. Everything the union busters say is either a complete lie or a misrepresentation of the truth. Every XPO driver that was fired has received back pay and been offered their job back. Some moved on. Others returned to work.

How come it doesn't bother you that they could be providing us with a great health care plan FOR THE SAME COST as they pay for Cigna and they simply choose NOT to do it? No were did I see that it was his third event. The first I hearing of it. During this thread you keep making it sound like it was his one and only event. With that being said it seems it did not learn from the first 2 times he was told about and keept on doing it. I don't care if you are here 24 days or 24yrs the rules are the rules. He was given 2 warnings just like everyone else gets and on the 3rd event was shown the door.
How can you say he had a perfect record when this was his 3rd event. It make us all wander how perfect his record was?????

For one XPO is self-insured they only are paying Cigna to manage the plan. All payments come out of the companies bottom line. The worth of an item or labor is what someone is will to pay for. When they want to pay to low no one fills out a job app. One question why do we have a hard time getting people. Take all the benes out of the question. We pay $29+ for drivers and I think the dock tops out at $20+. So why do people flock to places like amazon warehouse and other warehouses that pay in my area an average of $15? or trucking companies in my area that pay around $20 with now OT pay and benes that make our look great....
