really? .. i just love when people make negative comments and are just not happy about life and live in there own misery. i understand nothing is guarenteed just like your job but i dont see fedex EVER doing that unless of course you vote for bernie or anyoneone else on that side of the fence cause we will pay for everyones free healthcare, college education, house,job etc. Since when has fedex as a whole not paid out what they say they would, GEEEEZ!

Explain the logic behind that statement
read the fine print in the pension
read the fine print, no anger, no discontent here, just stating facts and saying I wouldn't count on a pension that could possibly not be there. don't read more into what is written
logic is, read the fine print. the company stops contributing when you turn 65 and the pension can be dissolved by the company at any time.

I am an ole Fedex Express driver where the portable pension origin. After I departed following roughly close to 10 years service in 2007,I am still trying to get an update. I didn't move it ,just to allow it to develop interest. I am presently with a LTL carrier & have accumilated nearly $8000 in a years time in my 401. There was a time that I thought the portable pension was great but since have reconsidered the bigger picture. N.O.T.T. is my final answer

Show us where it says they can dissolve it. It does give the company the option of stopping contributions if in financial distress.
Have a link where it says they stop contributing at 65? I can't find a reference.

HR rep in wht says they quit contributions when you turn 70.
The refs I found online so far have indicated there is no limit to the number of years they contribute. So if there is a document that says they quit at 65 or 70 I'd be interested in reviewing it.
Barring that, I'll ping our HR Rep on Monday.
See, I need to know as, since I started so late, I don't plan on retiring till I'm 84. Then I'll move to Hawaii and boff as many women as I can till I die at 85.

Cant imagine working past 70. But you never know. Maybe things will be so bad you cant stop workin . Who knows.

Annual Pension Plan Statement, read the small print at the bottom.....goes like this....
"Fedex reserves the right to amend or TERMINATE any benefit plan at any time and for any reason.
I have not recieved my May 2019 statement yet but this is at the bottom of all of our May 31,2018 statement.read up
supervisor in clt got a letter stating that he turned 65 and his pension contributions would be stopped. that is where I got 65 from. he could have read the letter wrong, don;t know
