hello, I have exhausted my short term disability and I still need to be off for surgery. I would like to use 3 days vacation a week to keep my benefits going. I was told by my tm that I can’t and my ba that I can use vacation, but they don’t have to pay my insurance. To me if I can use my vacation then they should cover my insurance. Anyone have the correct answer? Thanks

I know my insurance is paid for if I have 3 tours a week. That is 3 vacation days, or 3 sick days, or 3 days working, or any combination of the 3. I just need 3 compensated days in a work week. Not sure about your conference but that is in the southern conference.
 
it may have to do with splitting vacation. i have 4 weeks, can split 2, therefore i could be good for 6 weeks. Would imagine local rules/suplements and backdoor deals vary.

Any compensable hours count as hours worked. That includes vacation days, sick days or personal holidays (birthdays and hire date). If your TM is telling you different, he’s in violation of the contract. Get with your BA on this.
