FedEx PayCard - New method for getting paid.

Mastercard debit card alternative to receiving paper checks. Wages will automatically be deposited to the employee’s PayCard each payday. No personal bank account or credit check is required.

Interesting option. I guess, if you have no checking account, no credit/bad credit, it could make like easier. :idunno:

It pays to know these 5 things about payroll cards

A local Mc Donalds franchise owner just got sued and lost his case over the fees charged.

“Bikini Baristas” Ordered to Cover-Up

https://www.natlawreview.com/articl...nt News&utm_source=Robly.com&utm_medium=email

"The owner of “Hillbilly Hotties,” a coffee stand where employees wear only bikinis, and several of the bikini baristas themselves challenged the ordinances as unconstitutionally vague. Plaintiffs also alleged that the Ordinances violated their First Amendment right to free expression.

The Court of Appeals reversed a lower court ruling that prohibited enforcement of the Ordinances on the ground that they are unconstitutionally vague. The appeals court explained that a person of ordinary intelligence would be able to understand the terms in the Ordinance and would be adequately informed of which body areas cannot be exposed or displayed."

"The court found that the baristas’ acts of wearing pasties and g-strings in close proximity to customers did not necessarily convey the baristas’ purported message of female body confidence and empowerment."

How do you expect us to make informed opinions without pictures of said female alleged dress infractions of the ordinance in question?

DOT to delay verification protocol of entry-level driver training rule

https://www.ccjdigital.com/dot-to-d...tm_term=newsletter-2-daily-position-top-story

"...the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration will announce it intends to delay by two years — from Feb. 7, 2020, to Feb. 7, 2022 — the requirement that trainers upload drivers’ certification information into the agency’s database and the requirement that states confirm that CDL applicants have complied with the new training standards before allowing them to take a CDL skills or knowledge test.

However, FMCSA insists that the new curriculum and the required behind-the-wheel training established by the entry-level driver training rule will take effect Feb. 7, 2020, despite the delay in the methods meant to verify compliance with the regulations.

Likewise, the FMCSA says that training providers — which include carriers who train CDL applicants in house — must be registered in the agency’s Training Provider Registry."

"The rule requires schools to teach 31 specific theory courses and 19 behind-the-wheel skills courses, and it requires trainees to score an 80 percent on a theory assessment and show proficiency in the 19 skills tests to be certified to take a state-issued CDL skills test.

These stipulations of the rule will still take effect Feb. 7, 2020, FMCSA says."

Fed: Economy expands at modest pace

https://www.fleetowner.com/economic...ae2e0096495d966cfa1888131a26&utm_source=25622

"The central bank’s Beige Book economic report, based on anecdotal information collected by the 12 regional Fed banks on or before July 8, said the labor market continued to tighten, putting some upward pressure on compensation. However, some manufacturing and technology firms in the Northeast reduced staff."

"The Fed’s favorite gauge of inflation showed prices rose just 1.5% in the year through May. Inflation has run persistently below the central bank’s 2% target for most of the past seven years.

Retail, manufacturing

The Beige Book follows the release of data this week in which retail spending and manufacturing both exceeded economists’ estimates, and a June jobs report showed the labor market rebounded in May. The report noted that sales of retail goods “increased slightly overall” though vehicle sales were flat."

FMCSA denies ELD exemption request for small carriers

https://www.ccjdigital.com/fmcsa-denies-eld-exemption-request-for-small-carriers/

They actually DENIED one... Shocking, despite the following:

"The agency says it received more than 1,900 comments on the request and estimates that over 95% of the comments were in favor of the exemption."

Washington,DC.(CNN)
Coop Dispatch has filed for an exemption from using ELD’s based on the fact that their trucks only run 59 mph, and the need for the added time of driving created by their Moldavian drivers having to reroute on their GPS to avoid boardwalks, walking bridges, low viaducts, and tunnels.
