Sure seems like there’s a lot more “traffic” in the yrc forum, it’s like we don’t even exist over here, and we’re the company that’s actually making money..... this is weird, it’s ok though, I’m putting in my two weeks on Monday

YRC is the most "active" forum on TB. Waiting on tomorrow. If you stay more power to you, if you leave I wish you continued ascension.

Company is reorganizing to shut down places like Tacoma, Spokane to be consolidated into yrc and help save any back pay. Sure seems like the Union is helping with the extensions as they extended last time not the company. Both are stalling for the new optimization of yrc.

They are still migrating all data of all regionals into YRC Freight network.
Sales teams are being trained to the new programs and sales strategy.
Closing contracts and opening new ones with some vendors, like office supplies and utilities, etc, etc...
Also, Union and company still working on COO...

Monday is my very last day at a company I was nieve enough to think I could retire from, my teamster brethren: please look at the writing on the wall, I’m not a spring chicken myself, but I found BETTER employment, if I can you can too. If you choose to wait for matters to get WORSE, in my opinion: you have no right to moan and complain. We’ve been brainwashed for too long about how the “benefits” (medical) outweigh our low hourly (or mileage) wages...... this simply isn’t true, my COBRA insurance is going to cost me $1998/ month until my new medical kicks in..... sure it’s a lot, but going from $21/hr to $30hr will help in that dept. All I’m saying is sure I understand that starting over isn’t for everyone, but again..... STEVIE WONDER can see the direction all of this is going. When your BEST CASE SCENARIO is a $4 raise over FIVE YEARS??? It’s time to ATLEAST invest in some quality time to reconsider your options. What the parent company (YRC)is doing just isn’t fair, and the people in my yard (the ones that still take pride in what they do dispite the crappy wage at-least) deserve better.

8/16 is this Friday anyone heard anything ? Will the powers that be extend yet again ? Seems like every time I speak with a YRC driver they’re always being negative.
