is there a 5 mph grace window b4 a violation is recorded ?

I live in florida. speed limit is 70on 95. I sit in the right lane doing 62 and watch the world go by, because my truck only goes 65 and the only people I pass are the ones that are broken down

Anyone notice that after this took affect that the company slashed the slotted run times? Ask about it and got the answer of runs are now based on an average of 58mph and not 52mph like before. Fine it fun this happened a week after the new speeding policy took affect.

I don’t know how long it is supposed to take me to get to the FAC. I remember being asked 10 or more years ago, “why are you late”, but not anymore. I only pay attention to my dispatch time.

I remember telling them.... late ?!?! I've been here in line 20 minutes. You are why I am late !

I checked our time they have posted.
one route all highway speeds 55 to 65mph and the with the time and mileage averaged 48mph. On the other route it was a mix of roads from 65 all down to 35 and that average 45mph. On one of our longest routes (one way 227) in which all of the route is interstate (speed 55 yo 70mph) except of 2miles to the fac it's average sped is 50mph

That was one way Con-way cheated you out of money. With the punch clock you sat in that line for free. Now you hit the arrival and then drop and start getting paid. Who cares how long the line is. The two main FAC I run still use the greeter shack. The only reason to stop at it though is if you don't have doors assigned on your HH. If I have pure or doors I just drive past them

It is set at between 0 and 55mph you have a 15mph window. Between 55 and 65mph you have a 10mph window. Now for the camera to record you must be going above the speed, 15mph or 10mph, for more than 10secs.

From what I hear from a driver that runs up there, drivers were taking there trucks out of gear and freewheeling down the hills on the mass pike. He also said some were clocked at 80 to 90mph.

Doesn’t matter if your truck limits out at 70.
Your never gone to hit it on those routes.

Really???? I hit them every night as long there are no delays like accidents, weather, heavy traffic. On one route it's 85miles all 55mph and 65mph roads they give use 1hr59mins round it to 1.75hrs and that means you must average a speed of 48.5mph. If you round it to 2hrs then it's 42.5mph average. The next one they give use 2hrs14mins to go 102 miles so round it up to 2.25hrs and that's 45.3mph average rounding it down to 2hrs and that's 51mph average The last one they give use 4hrs21mins to go 227 miles so round down to 4.25hrs and that's 53.4mph average. Round it up to 4.5hrs and then its 50.4mph average.
Bloodwidow was saying they up his average speed to the FAC to 58mph from 52mph. I was just showing that on our longest run with 55 to 70mph interstate roads our average is somewhere between 50 and 53 mph.

We just had a big round table discussion about the pros and cons of the speeding policy here at my sic in central New England about a month ago. It was composed of p&d drivers, line haul drivers and a couple of corporate safety managers.
They took our input, digested it, and it was shortly after that meeting that they changed their speeding policy for us. No more letters of instruction, trip to the scm office, being warned of imminent termination if behavior isn’t corrected, etc. Now speeders just get a slap on the wrist with coaching sessions for speeding violations. I remember hearing someone say at the round table that...”the harsh speeding penalty, (5 violations in a year resulting in termination), was written and instituted by T Clark. And now that he is gone from the company,so shouldn’t his policies be gone too”.
So I presume that’s what caused the change.

Are we talking about found to speeding by drivecam or state ? What’s the speed limit on the Mass pike ? And is it all of New England area? Is it 1mph over ?
I got hauled into the office and had to watch a video of myself whistling down a nonresidential road, with no posted speed limit signs going 48 mph for more than 15 seconds. Was told by my scm that the limit on this particular road was 30 mph. I was suppose to know that? Had to sign a letter of instruction regardless.

What would happen if you didn’t sign it?

I hear a new speeding policy (not just for NE) will be announced soon. Similar to what was just removed. Let the scuttle but commence!

Lmao, looking like they are pushing the union debate into a new era. Last big
push happened when the cameras came into effect. Greys are digging there own graves. Roflcopter!
