If you’re following company, and FMCSR regulations, which include texting,talking on the phone, eating, or have a full headset on listening to music, you should be fine. The insurance companies are behind a lot of this also for liability in case for instance someone cuts you off, and you turn over the truck. At least they know you were doing your job correctly.

They are on the dock. Your being watched all the time.
All the time. Does or did anyone do anything about this?

Just pick your nose and put the boogers on the seat. Show em what we really do.
Being that they were on the dock we got used to it and forget they are even there.
Trust me. They are clear as a bell too. And they have zoom on them. They will watch everybody everywhere. Except bathrooms. So. If there is something you don't want them to see go to the bathroom or get out of the tractor. And stay off the damn phones.
 
Insurance was a reason a small carrier went out of business this year. They went from 300k a year to 700k a year in premiums I think this company was acouple hundred trucks. They were a financially sound carrier also. The discount for insurance would be huge for YRC. Your talking about possibly a couple million. You don’t think the bean counters aren’t looking at that discount. Especially since they have to pay you more money now. Also insurance is through the roof. Trucking Insurance rates have gone up tremendously.

It's just a fact. Your (we) are being watched everywhere.
Think of a place your not being watched. Except the bathroom. And you may be there too. Who knows.

I'm not worried about their insurance rates. That's their problem.
As I remember Roadway was self insured. Someone correct me.if I'm wrong. Tremendous advantage.
Now I worry about my own insurance rates. Not theirs. I don't worry about it but I have insurance too. Part of the business and it's their business not mine. So they put cameras in the truck to lower rates.
It's gonna happen. People put dash cams in now to protect themselves in personal vehicles. And black boxes are in most new cars. Insurance.
Some are strongly against it. Some don't care. If your legal who cares.
It's like peeing in a cup for a test. The most who protest the most are the ones using.
As for privacy reasons while driving. What are you doing that deserves privacy? Stuff you shouldn't be doing.
I'm not for it. Or against it. I sound like I'm for it. I know. I really don't care. Like I said before I was already being watched all the time in the dock. No difference really.
But eventually all will have them to save the millions you speak of.

Buy a bottle of liquid ass..Apply a few drops on the floor when u finish your trip and walla . Great balls of foulness.:bgroovy:
