I is. Any overspeed is a couching. Starting September 1 it will be a strike. Everyone starts with a credit strike and can earn one every 90 days with no overspeed but you can’t have more then one credit strike at a timeI haven’t heard anything official or seen anything posted anywhere. Only rumors that August is a grace period.
Of course it will. Will it lead to more terminations ?
Wasn’t going to happen. We have a guy at my barn with 9 and still has his jobOne other thing that probably only matters for New England drivers is that any strikes earned during the testing phase are wiped off their record. We have a couple of guys at my barn who were one 10 MPH overspeed from getting fired so I imagine they are breathing a little easier tomorrow.
Only if enforced. But who knows, I think it will not beWill it lead to more terminations ?
Most like scenario is it will be enforced selectivelyOnly if enforced. But who knows, I think it will not be
We had a few as well. They can’t afford to lose drivers.Wasn’t going to happen. We have a guy at my barn with 9 and still has his job
More then 10mph over the speed limit when the speed limit is 65, so 76mph. More then 15 over when the speed limit is under 65.So, essentially does this mean when u fly down a hill and the over speed alarm goes off u guys get an infraction? Surprised we don’t have that at FXF yet
More then 10mph over the speed limit when the speed limit is 65, so 76mph. More then 15 over when the speed limit is under 65.
Too many Driver would cry if the trucks were put back to 65. Don’t want to hurt any feelings.Outsider looking in..... I would worry that if you were to get a bunch of violations the truck would be turned down.... just my opinion from a different company that has extremely slow trucks.
I think you are right on all counts. Tony Brooks is definitely trying to do more with less. As you have said for years, suck it for all it’s worth and ride it out till the end. This is really simple. Turnover just isn't high enough. So they are going to make it easier to fire people. And claim it safety consciousness. I don't know how there are terminals laying off. We cannot keep drivers. At all. As fast as we are losing customers. We are losing drivers even faster. But clearly. The system is just to damn driver heavy. So they are going to clean it out and get rid of more of us drivers. The computer model says you can make more money this way. More management and fewer drivers. This is going to be the number trucking company. Tony Brooks said so !!!!
