ABF | New Terminal

No, just watching the horrible results of service play out from the abolisment

Ahh,.........."Gloating"........

Surely you're not cheering on the anticipated demise of another Union carrier?

By the way,...does XPO require you to....remove the bag,....so the driver-facing camera gets a ...good view of your countenance?

Better take another look Canary, this is definitely a sack, he may get BRG to design him a bag.

Just to set things straight, the new 050 is NOT a "Terminal" in any way, its a warehouse and doesn't resemble anything you have ever seen before in the freight industry, be that good or bad is up for debate.

I have heard, 80 grand a month for the rent on the 'new' 050 terminal. No ABF mechanic on site. All mechanical issues go to a vendor. A marker light out? Call a vendor. Service call & the time on sight has got to cost them a bunch of money. No fuel @ 050. ABF has an account @ the Loves, 2 blocks away. Maybe they are saving money versus the old place. But I don't think so. Downtown I-65 mm is the 110. The new terminal 3 blocks from I-65, mm is the 133. The run to Wally world Seymour is a 1 hour longer. Most of the repair shops for ABF are still within 1 mile of the old terminal. Now they are 25 miles away. More time & labor to deliver & retrieve your equipment being worked on. The Fort must have a hidden agenda to increase their quarterly earnings. Or not. von.

They don't have an account at Love's we fuel wherever we want because we have company fuel cards. Most all repairs are done on site by three to four mechanics everyday (rumored to be under Fleetnet which Arcbest owns). It's true some runs have gained time but others like Laf, Amazon Whitestown have dropped.
What was the old saying "Amazon Whitestown to bed..." not anymore
It is different

I was accused of taking to long, hence the "Amazon Whitestown to bed...". But, when they first opened they did not have a yard jockey & we (ABF & Fed X) had agreed to cover their moves for them. When Jerry came over from the road he took that run/bid & worked up there most of the day. I did the same about half the time. When I retired in January of 2016 they had 2 yard jockeys leased from some company for every shift. And I was told ABF & Fed X did not charge them for their labor or equipment. Ya wann piece of the pie? Ya gotta give up some ice cream to get it. von.
