FedEx Freight | Raises 2019

We've heard this narrative before. If you don't like it leave. But...

Many of us remember when we were the highest paid (non-union) carrier out there. Back when it was actually something to qualify to be hired here. Stacks of applications, etc. That changed. Wages/benefits relative to the competition declined. Today, a lot depends on location, due to a flawed GPD (pay scale) system.

Keeping it short, Yes the option to leave is there, if not happy. Most ANYONE who works here is more than qualified to work just about anywhere they choose. FACT. As long as their safety record is good.

The challenge/goal/concern for most is keeping / making FedEx Freight the best place to work. That is also the stated goal of most Corporate communications. Is that negative? I think not. In order to continue to grow, you have to attract and retain the best. To do that, you have to actually be the best. Not just talk about it...

I agree, and alot of guys would leave but 4 weeks of vacation is hard to give up and start at the bottom somewhere else.

Not naming names (SpellCheck & Co.?), but the "spelling experts" will be along shortly...

Indeed kind sir! However, to be fair, I intentionally misspelled the derogatory word just in case Mr. Hotroute was grammatically impaired, with unfortunately seems to be the case :poke:

Being an outsider....I think a big issue is when people are not use to truckingboard forums language and they see what is written.

So many (well about 6 of you) write very TOXIC things about work over and over and over. One does have to wonder why they are still at a company if they are so miserable. It is a legit question? It could be affecting their mental health.

Several others on here do pose valuable information and good feasible questions.

I can easily see why an outsider takes action.

I'm ok with the current pay scale. It's not great, but it's not horrible. I've done harder with for a lot less.

My main compensation issue is with the mediocre 401k contribution and the non-existent espp match.

Geez come down off your high horse. This sub forum of TB is for information also to talk about the company good, bad, or anything else. The thread you posted in is "raises 2019" do have any info on our up-coming raise? If not why bring your comments to the thread?

Already got it planned out. 25yr pin and I'm gone.

I'll only be 80. Retire down to West Palm. Maybe pick-up a pt City job for some side cash.
