XPO | Rumor Mill: It's going again!

Not sure if this is news or not, nut...

New Penn guy just said that the YRC new england regional boss is leaving to come over to XPO in the same New England/northeast area. Didn't get the name.

NP driver says he's a huge numbers guy to the detriment of all else, including service. If true, he will fit right in.

If it’s who I think it is he looks like “Mr Clean” ex military. All New Penn managers hate the guy .

We did lose our RM, or DOO (director of operations) recently, so this is definitely a possibility.

Perfect. He will continue to destroy the company and push out experienced management to further eliminate any chance of success. Jacobs plan is really coming together beautifully.

So I see fed ex dumped all amazon now, leaving amazon with ups to the tune of 13% of their volume. Think amazon will make a play for us, or start their own company?

I also see as of aug 6, yrc has disconnected xm in all their trucks....
100% start their own 00 model only moving their goods. FedEx , Xpo will be fight to make up loss. Amazon has no interest in buying any established fleets .

I would be more concerned with FedEx buying us. As the package car freight dissipates. They may decide they want more diversity into the 3PL and Intermodal offerings. And with an already established LTL network. Would moth ball this pile.

I think it way too much overlap and excessive infrastructure.... but you never know.

From their perspective. If you aren't growing. You are dying. UPS is still number one. And now Amazon is stealing market share. How would you respond ?

Wow a union truck with a radio

Any good rumors floating around recently?
Yes. I heard the Feds are going to install RR crossings on all East West Interstates & US Highways. Seems the economy has rebounded so fast, they think they need to slow it down. Currently the Fed's are in talks with the The Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen on staffing & how to eliminate the Dead man's switch. Back to you TruckinGod @ Rumor Central. von.

I heard we took on a new contract with Kroger to do the home deliveries. You know how you can order on line and come to the store and pick it up ? They are gonna skid up peoples orders and then ship it with us to deliver to homes like U-line.
