Yellow | Start saving for Yrc strike! 1 year and counting.

I don't see the IBT as a friend and I would never vote yes to give them the right to strike for me.....there has to be some kind of arbitration panel that could be set up to give us the same contract as ABF under master freight the IBT is just another group that wishes YRCW would go away so they can organize XPO and other trucking companies if we don't give the IBT THE RIGHT TO STRIKE FOR US ...then negotiations would have to continue tell both side figure it out

we won't be giving the option of a strike vote. And if we did as soon as the lines were put up, within a few days afterwards YRC would be out of business! live within your means and you won't fret as much as to what happens in the end!

You are incorrect on many fronts. First, the senior men are definitely NOT going to lay down for whatever is thrown at them. As for the 20-year men not willing to leave, wrong again: I know of MANY men with 20-30 years who have done exactly that-gone to ABF. Some of them we miss; others, good riddance!
The senior management of this company has made more blunders that I can count. The trouble is: they are paid to "do it right" and to know what that way is. They have failed miserably. Too many of our brethren don't do their jobs, but they still expect to be paid. I for one am sick and tired of making the same amount as these slugs when I work my buns off trying to save this company for the benefit of ALL of us. I too can leave-my years are in. I'm still here because of the insurance benefits. I have a suggestion for one and all----tell the negotiating committee that WE need to have rank-and-file people at the table, LOTS of them! We are not IBT fat-cats who suck their living from us; we are us!! I'm really struggling to figure out who's screwed us worse; YRC's "glass house gang" or the IBT.
Good post After the way Hoffa treated UPS and UPSF on their recent negotiations I don't see much hope for a fair contract for you guys and gals HOPEFULLY they will at least match the money and vacation we currently have at ABF everyone knows they have no intentions of restoring the pension

Teamsters at ABF getting screwed so you know what’s coming to Yrc in 2019 be prepared stop being slaves for the wealthy.
How is ABF getting screwed? No ones ever voting to strike! Members at neither ABF or YRC couldn't even vote down the 1st offer from the company in their last contracts they were so scared!...Keep dreaming!!

Don't remember the year, but the companies locked us out.
6 of us were taking hrs. in Birmingham, company gave each a bus ticket home, we cashed them in, rented a Dodge Monaco, appointed
a designated driver, bought 2 jugs of Black Label Jack Daniels
and headed for Charlotte, I was lead singer of the group.
Horse hockey back in them days most of y'all had a cab full of pills beer n liquor. Designated Driver lolololol
