He absolutely did say and has said it more than once, so how about you let him speak for himself.
His words “. Time has come for real immigration reform...not walls.” and I don’t ever think he said just them them do what they want . I will read it again.

OK, let's do immigration reform, every person that wants to migrate to the US must present a resume, If the US is in need of people with their expertise we allow them in the country, if not sorry try again. We as a country MUST do what is best for the country. I'm pretty sure that people paying coyotes to gain entry offer anything other than low cost labor, as a union man you should be opposed to it.

If you take the benefits, you should pay the dues. In our case in particular, just the health care alone is worth it. A family of 4 under our Cigna plan pays 125.00 per month premium. Union dues are about 75.00 per month. Team Care is zero premium. So, the union saved you 50.00 per month immediately. If you or a family member gets sick, the Teamcare plan could save you tens of thousands of dollars over the course of your career.

Those of you opposed to union membership have yet to validate your opposition, except to say either the Teamsters are corrupt, which is no longer true OR...I'm happy with what I have. That's crazy because you're not even slightly interested in how much happier you could be or how much more you could get.

I have to admit that the company has this down to a science. They keep us just smart enough to run the equipment and just dumb enough to enjoy getting screwed.
You sure you want to stand by your statement that there is no longer corruption in the teamsters?

You guys have been harping on the Coli case for years now. I never said that corruption does not exist in the Teamsters union. Compared to the vision you project, which was accurate 50 years ago, when the Teamsters were infiltrated by the mob, corruption is virtually over in this organization. There were 25 years of Federal Stewardship to guarantee the mob influences were gone forever. Unfortunately, nothing will ever stop the few individuals who will abuse the power of their position. Just look at your president. There is no greater level of corruption in the Teamsters Union than in any other private or government entity where there will always be someone who will take advantage of the power of their position.

How does that kool aid taste? This company is far more corrupt than any union in existence today. Cooking the books, ignoring labor law to scare the ::shit:: out of organizing efforts and failing to provide decent benefits to the people who generate the profits that allow them 6 luxury cars and 4 vacation homes, all the while crying that they can't afford to provide us with a health care plan that would cost them the exact same as they are paying for the junk plan we have now. Their mantra to the employees that they care so much about is "WAIT". Don't certify now, Wait to see what happens in those other terminals. Then, if they get a good contract, you can unionize too. If you can't see through that bullshit, I have a bridge for sale. It's in Brooklyn.

Arguing this point with you is like administering medicine to the dead. There's is no point. So, I'll leave you with this. Before Ronny Rayguns, migrant farm workers were issued legal visas to come into the country to work the fields. They earned enough money in the season to feed their families for a year. When the season was over, they went home to their families and everyone was happy. The same happened for roofers, meat packers, landscapers and every other dirty low paying job that Americans were unwilling to do. In every border town, you will find flyers, printed in Spanish, advising undocumented workers of the jobs waiting for them, if they could make their way north. You can look it up.

Dreamers who have been employed for years or have served in the military get automatic citizenship...no questions asked. You ask for a resume? What kind of resume would you like for someone carrying 75 pound stacks of tiles up a ladder to the roof in the blazing heat, all day long. What...a masters degree? How about the chicken processing plant in Mississippi? 650 positions now open. Maybe a bachelors degree for that one?

It's estimated there are 11 million undocumented immigrants working in this country right now. Deport them all, who will do those jobs? Or maybe we need people WITHOUT much expertise to do the jobs all of us genius truck drivers won't do.

As union men we are adamantly opposed to low cost labor. It seems however, that corporate pigs aren't opposed to it at all. That's why they hire these folks. What if every greedy corporation, like the one in Mississippi, had their executives arrested and prosecuted. There are still laws on the books that will allow such prosecutions. How many "Illegals" could get hired then?

Allow me to remind you of one final reason I support IMMIGRATION REFORM. I want to show respect for all those who entered legally and give these people the very same opportunity those who entered legally had. Make no mistake, the jobs are there. No American worker is suffering or out of a job due to illegal immigration. Big business loves it. I have compassion for these people. They are suffering in the worst possible way and I am happy that my taxes are able to give some of them a hand up until they can get on their feet and become productive. They always do.

And keep this last thing in mind. Your lack of compassion may bite you in the ass someday. Consider that ALL of us are one traumatic illness away from bankruptcy and a Go FUND Me page, especially with the garbage insurance we have now. It could happen to any one of us and it does happen to thousands of families daily. I don't remember the exact number, but 50% or so, of all bankruptcies are medical in origin. I don't wish this on anyone, I really don't ...But, if it happens to you, I hope the readers of your GO FUND ME page show you infinitely more compassion than you show these people. You should be ashamed of your attitude.

I hope I've made my point. I don't really care to discuss it further on THE UNION PAGE.

Well-said, woodz! That ‘corruption’ narrative is getting old. Good God, you’d think some of these poster’s are stuck in 1968. Same thing with the CSPF...always bashing that fund and using it as the bellwether for all the other funds. There’s more crooks on Wall Street nowadays than there ever was in the Teamsters Union.

Way off topic. If you Trumpers spent as much time focusing on how to make your job situation better as you do focusing on what the powers to be have you distracted by you might actually better your position. This turn in this topic towards immigration is a perfect example of how it works.

That can all be summed up in 2 words, CHEAP LABOR

Maybe another distraction you guys can focus on while they work against you behind the scenes is the Clinton /Epstein conspiracy because that will help your lot in life.:encouragement::grin:

My daddy applauds you for getting off-track and turning this into a political debate; the farther off topic you get, the deeper my daddies hand reaches into your pocket. It’s called “white collar pick pocket.” Divide and conquer. Keep up the good work because my G6 is almost a year old and it’s time to trade it in.
I guess your daddy doesn’t love you since he only buys you a Pontiac not a BMW.
