XPO | P&d Pay Raise, Lh Paycut

I know we'll never know for sure , but how much money do you think was blown on special software to link the cruise control , windshield wipers , and the engine together - then turn around and scrap it all.
Let see it cost the company a few key strokes. Everything computerized. All the shops have the software for it. They can turn up or down the HP, Speed, Torque, and in the automatic trams even lock out 12 gear if they want. When I worked for AF back in the day we had Volvo's that had cruise in them the company deactivated them with a simple clip on a computer.
So there was no real cost to do it or remove it from the trucks.

Well you know they HAVE to treat everyone equally except for that whole OT thing
Equality means nothing in the South. We are XPO "they " said. Except in the South. We ( South )are paid at a minimum two dollars a hour less than northern and western drivers. In the South there is no OT after eight or even after fourty. All we get is OT after fifty and TM's try like hell to hold drivers below that. On Friday's they make high hour city drivers go home and work bid linehaul drivers in the city. I feel like I have grown red hair and was adopted.

Personally, I feel if they had just turn the trucks up to 67mph it would have been fine. It may not sound like much, but it would have given us the ability to get past other trucks stuck at 65 as well as getting past other vehicles cars, campers etc. Also, it would have given just the right amount of extra power when starting to climb grades. Now as said in previous post, were going back to turtle racing...everyone grab your number when exiting the gate, let the fun begin, it's going to be a gas....
I worked for a company that had a 65mph limit. When they got new trucks we talked them into giving us 67mph on the pedal. It was nice we had 65mph on the cruise and when need we had 67mph on the pedal. Were I ran it help with the hills that 2mph saved me a down shift on some hills. The problem here is we have to many ****** drivers that will just smash the pedal.

I was told the OT is based on industry average for the south and our closest competitor is OD which gets OT after 60. I was told to be happy and deal with it.
On a side note, wait till the new ELDs kick in and start recording your idle time. You know those hot/cold days when you get back in your truck and sit for a few minutes to do your paperwork, check your gps... they'll add that idle time up and that will be a new metric in time of dwell time.

It’s a coming

By the way , after the memo was issued saying speeding caused most accidents and there would be a bump down to 65mph , most drivers I spoke to said as long as the truck could do 70mph , they will ( conditions permitting ) go 70mph ( also if the speed limit allows )
