You will have to wait and see the operational changes coming up. That will take the place of any money concessions

In my opinion... after the contract and some during the signing.... a lot of new equipment was ordered... we are seeing several new trucks coming in at our terminal..... and new trailers are out there that are just coming on line .

Those cost money....

Agree Operational Changes would be a great 1st step , (1) a few ideas would be stop sending 3-4 city trucks daily to same customer each with ONE pallet for delivery , maybe wait & put ALL pallets on same truck ? (2) maybe stop running linehaul guys around empty all week long ? (3) maybe stop letting customers use our drop trailers for free storage for weeks- months at a time ? Point is there are many ways to save money IF they would try and do some progressive managing !!:6788:

Plus they put 12.5 million aside for the vacation we got back.

theyll change operations until they get backed into a corner and if they need to theres always the pension contributions to get rid of. jack cooper stopped their pension contributions, they wont be the last.

Jack Cooper should not be allowed to negotiate with the rest of the Auto companies they will want the same concession too say they cant be competitive. I still don't like how the Union didn't ask Jack Cooper members if they would rather take a wage cut but keep full pension contributions just this is the final offer.

How much of a wage cut would it take to put 20 mill a year back into the company, they (the workers) would have to pay the company to work there

I don't know what the solution is but it's sad everyone wants to just keep cutting the pensions.
I gave ya alike on this it's a SAD BAD all the way around, if itdoesn't pass over 2000 people out of work and another union company put in ground. They are surely between a rock and a hardplace, I think some will jump over to us because we are hiring in many locations like almost every terminal, we need 20 right now at our place
