Thanks RED...I knew you would have the answerThe rumor is to build another hub in CLT (Salisbury, NC) to relieve pressure from both the current CLT and GBO centers. Some city and road operations would be pulled from both and moved to the new center, thus relieving pressure.
GBO’s road board isn’t that big but their city covers a pretty extensive area. CLT has 140+ man road board and a 100+ man city board which covers a very dense area. Both centers are at full capacity during hub operations.
I would speculate that a majority of the freight for a new center would be relocated from the current CLT center (cthanks RESity and road) with GBO relocating mainly city freight considering we already share every road destination. Both the current CLT and GBO centers would have to remain open and operational, it would be impossible to cover both from one mega center!!
Any and all movement from drivers would be done by seniority of course.
