SAIA | New Terminals

saw Ads for Concord NH, P&D, dock and a Zone TM ? Interesting as it said OT after 40 hours for NH( from Saia website). Also saw ads for Colonie NY(Albany) and Reading Ma, 4th terminal in Mass

Rapidly creating a large footprint in the northeast
Google maps is great and the information is out there so it is not secret type stuff. You can keep input Saia, then the town and state, and you will see the spread pattern of the NorthEast invasion. Just a few weeks ago,Saia hosted a hiring event in Albany, New York. I have no doubt that Maine is going to see a Saia terminal along that I-95 corridor.
All I can suggest to you is to get in on the ground floor.

Think Saia is taking over the New Penn term soon to be vacant

I use to work at Saia and a buddy of mine that still works there told me there's a rumor Saia has made a offer to buy a competitor. Any truth in that?

I would say no. Rick O’dell the CEO has said he wanted to grow on his own (organically) and not take on that big of debt. Having said that he has also said he would consider a buyout under the right conditions. He doesn’t want to make the same mistake his father-in-law Bill Zollars did. He’s as bright as they come and is very cautious in buyouts.

maybe they can have the competitors employees come over and bump everyone down like the douchbags at FXF corporate did when they bought Watkins

Looks like all the walls are all up and it seems like it’s a 24/7 operation to get it built. I work next door and there’s cement trucks in and out of there all night. That terminal looks like it’s gonna be huge, I’d guess 300 or more doors.
I went by it this morning. Full of equipment and yes- its Huge!
