Yellow | Odds Of Staying In Business

if Vegas gave odds on yrc staying in business till spring what do you think they would be?
When the contract was being negotiated, the Teamsters said YRCW will close by May 31st 2019 if the contract is rejected, and will close by 2022 if accepted. The stock market appears to believe YRCW can’t afford the latest contract. But then, I thought they would’ve closed in 2010, and every week since- so, what do I know????

I talked to friend of mine that retired last Friday. Said everyone on the Indy/Dock is at least mid50s or older. There’s no new blood coming.... bodies are moving slower, and freight is therefore moving slower too...

does anyone think if they get new financing it will help? I know it’s always slow after a holiday but it’s been slow for the last month. Not even sure there is a reason for anyone to be working weekends but they still do

I don’t know about the re-financing BUT there was a gentlemen at one of the New Penn terminals taking pictures and when asked he said he worked for the bank and was just going through procedures because they were re financing their mortgages since the rates dropped, he said they would save a bundle by doing it and was surprised that they didn’t do it a year ago.

Are you sure it wasn't pictures for the bankruptcy foreclosure auction?

they said in the conference call they were in the process of refinancing.

Well, they are definitely not refinancing using assets as collateral.

Last credit rating B2. (July ‘19) up from B3.

With severely reduced eps and operating capital, outlook is not good.

Based on rumors and internet chatter, along with information gathered from other carriers, Q3 numbers do not look good industry wide; YRCW specifically.

Any reduction in interest rates would be extremely beneficial to YRCW, but can the lenders justify that action based on freight levels and Projections?

YRC can't afford to to be slow.
They've been dying a slow death for 11 plus years.
Pete and repeat.
My opinion is is squat but it's if they don't do some major changes the final nail may be delivered soon.
What do I know? Not much.
As I've mentioned before I don't know why or how they have made it as far as they have.. Management is just flat out incompetent.
The only thing I can think of is because of the people that do "work" there. I quoted work because I do mean "work". Those who know and don't need to be told what to do. Experienced people. When they lose the majority of those men and women and are left with some of these goofballs they hire that couldn't light a match in a well lit room they will be in trouble. It's coming because we are leaving.
Sorry. Turned into a rant! But in my opinion it's true.
The new guys don't catch on. It's not rocket science although you would think it was with some of these new guys.
:19:(break time yet?)
