FedEx Freight | Changes At Frt. Direct – Davis Out - Frith Svp

Somewhat related:

"Matthew Thornton announces retirement Matthew Thornton, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of FedEx Freight, has announced his plans to retire effective Nov. 1, 2019. Throughout his 41-year FedEx career, Matthew has led a variety of highperforming teams focused on operational excellence to deliver the Purple Promise for our customers. Prior to joining FedEx Freight in 2018, Matthew served as SVP of the U.S. Operations division at FedEx Express. In this role, he was responsible for 50,000 team members and more than 650 FedEx Express stations.

More details about changes to our organizational structure will be shared in the coming weeks. In the meantime, let’s thank Matthew for his service to FedEx and wish him the very best in his next chapter"

More changes? :scratchhead:

It was a "daily mail" announcement. Supposed to be shared with the "team", by placing copies in breakroom, and/or other conspicuous places. You can find stories like these yourself, on the intranet homepage. They change daily.

Wonder if that same CCM is aware of the value of timely communications. Or, is this just one that "slipped by"?

Or the CCM was just out of the office again...

Here's another addition:

"Bonnie Voldeng has been named Vice President FedEx Freight Direct effective Aug. 16, 2019. Bonnie will lead the strategic short- and long-range objectives of FedEx Freight Direct, including acceleration to market, scale, development and growth across the U.S. She will be domiciled in Memphis and report to Ken Frith, SVP FedEx Freight Direct."

Bonnie probably just shortened her stay at fedex.

More news on the MT III topic... "in an effort to streamline our reporting structure, we will not backfill the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer position upon Matthew’s retirement"

Also, Ken Frith will continue to lead the FXF Direct team and will take on the additional responsibility for International.

Sorry, folks. Women are just as capable as men in executive positions but I can guarantee that a women in THIS position will screw us over.

And how many VPs does it take to screw in a light bulb?
