SAIA | The Big Move

Good luck with that. Saia has too many koolaid drinkers.
68.5 cents per mile, $27 per hour for work offs and other stuff, decent vacation schedule, paid personal days, decent insurance, good fidelity 401-k w/match, 5 day work week, off on holidays, pretty much brand new equipment across the board, terminals and supervisors that are held accountable, to close the loads on time, and the company never ever threatens to close up shop, if concessions are not made. That's a lot of koolaid.
AND your union offers what?

You forgot the cameras in your face, smoking ban, and CB radio ban for starters.

No union here, I don’t like where the money would go.... but like I said, Saia’s got too many folks that freely tolerate the kinda indignities I just mentioned to have a snowball’s chance in hell of organizin anywheres.

Indignities? That’s a bit of a reach.

I can appreciate your position. All I can offer is my opinion but the steady historical economic advantages, that Saia offers, makes it easy to tolerate, your partial list of indignities, but to each his own. There is no right or wrong answer.
If someone offered me a card, I'd say no thank you.

Tractor wise, my barn lost all the old stuff plus had the internationals pulled. We have the 2018 and 2019 full size and 2020 small city units. If you don't have that, it's coming and soon.

Article in N Y Times says those trucks are leased from Coop Dispatch, may not be any more coming.
They maxed out their VISA, trying to get Train to come back.

More like keeping the Train away and negotiating a non-compete clause. They received a credit line increase and we gladly parted ways. Trucks on the way as we speak. They even let me keep my uniforms and safety awards. No harm .... No foul.

Over time ,the best health care money can buy and that includes dental and vision. Good wages,A pension plan A contract equal and fair work rules .That of coarse is negotiable:rulz:.And who does that for you. I am sure with your vast labor experience, you negotiate better than any body else in your barn.:butt kiss: :violin:

I’m good enough, I’m smart enough and doggone it, people like me!
You are correct because I like you. You appear to be a bit pro-union and of course everyone knows how I feel about the Teamsters. A bunch of grubby parasites. But other than that you’re a pretty cool dude.:guinesssmilie: :guiness:
