Can anyone here say how in the hell Central Transport is taking over Yellows CGB terminal at 10301 so Harlem . They are cleaning up the yard and have job fair banners on the fence and also I just went by there and they have a Central Transport 53 dropped on the Harlem side . When YRC wanted to come back the Chicago Ridge mayor said a trucking company will never do business there again .The banners say the job pays 40 G a year . Maybe some one that lives in Chicago Ridge might know a little more .

They didn't tell them their healthcare would cost $6K/year with a $20K deductible if they want to use it, did they?

Chicago Ridge,IL. (The Southtowner)
The Ridge Sox baseball team and Ridge Popcorn Distribution center located on Harlem Ave, said they want to clarify any rumors that a trucking company is moving back into the former Yellow Freight faculty. Spokesperson, Nash (Ville) Patel stated they like the central location, for their customers and may purchase it after their current lease runs out in 2024. It was not made immediately clear though as to why many semi trailers, with visible roof damage, belonging to Coop Dispatch are parked on site. Calls to Coop Dispatch were not returned.

I was told the town owns the property. Having signs, a trailer, and advertising a job fair doesn’t mean Central is moving there. You live there- call the town hall and ask.

jimmy g, I did a FOIA to the Chicago Ridge clerk regarding that property. It was sold, I posted the reply I got several months ago. I know I saved the response I got, when I'm feeling motivated, I'll repost it. :1036316054:

The reply I received to my FOIA request is in the thread Chicago Ridge. Dated November 28, 2018.
Well, then it IS possible that Central bought it or is buying/leasing it. The owner is Crown Enterprises, a commercial real estate company, out of Warren, Mich. Central Transport is headquartered in Warren, Mich., and could easily make a deal.

Gonna need LOTS of Cleanup!!!!!!!

I know there are a lot of baseballs out there over the fence by 294 to pick up.

both companies have the same address, Central is famous for buying up unused terminals. Probably a good bet the Crown is the real estate arm of Central.

Crown Enterprises bought the old CF terminal property in Richfield, Ohio years ago. They did the same thing...parked two trailers in the yard. Evidently never sold the property and razed all the buildings. We heard property is too contaminated with hazmat to build there without MAJOR cleanup. We know how Motor Cargo and later CF disposed of those leaking drums back in the 50's, 60's, and early 70's before the EPA!

I just can't see a crumb bum joint like CT investing that kinda money and not move in . I read on T/B that they turn off the heat in the winter to save on their gas bill in the shop . BTW Crown doesn't do all CT proprieties but only some . I called John at Crown and he said that Crown only does some not all properties for CT .(the mystery lingers )LoL .

BTW I don't live in the Ridge but the next town over called Palos Hills . Much nicer ,not say'en anything bad about C/R Palos is a little more high end .
