George Springer broke one of the oldest cardinal rules in baseball last night. He could have been on third & possibly been the run that tied the score if he ran when he hit ball instead of standing, jumping, hopping. Even little league players are taught to run & not look when they make contact with the ball.
Pete Rose would have forced a play at third if he had been the batter.
