applied for a position at greesnboro, nc terminal. So let me in on all the good, bad, and ugly, please. Is it 'slip seat'? Can you have a satellite radio? I am fully aware of the phone policy and the cameras. From what I've read it seems SAIA has a high turnover rate...is this true? What kinds of figures am I looking to make for the first 2 years or so, until I gain seniority to sign for a bid run? Thanks for all your help.

I’ve probably answered these questions a thousand times in other threads. So I’m going to let other guys field your questions. They will be along shortly. Check back later.

Slip seat = for the most part, but can vary from run to run and day by day.

Yes, you can have satellite radio.

Yes there is a higher turnover rate. You’re just a number. They don’t care about you, your family, or anything else. It’s freight first and only. Move it fast and safe. Don’t voice your opinion. Always make sure there is a witness present when asking a question. Don’t let your guard down ever. They will start to keep a file on you from day one and will use it against you.

You can probably be in the 70-90k range. Maybe more depending what n how hard you want to work (sign up for weekend work) and what runs are available/how many miles.

Best of luck. It was a good job for me...until it wasn’t.

She’s trying to scare you off. It’s not that bad. Buck stop it before you get a spanking. Dracula come on and tell the man how the cow ate the cabbage.

available for spankings...appointment only

I see basically no difference between FXF and SAIA..same stuff just different name on the door other than cameras.....for now

from reading some other posts, in another forum, I have heard a few things similar to them not caring about you, etc. This is why I was asking if it's a high turnover rate, as I've only talked to(on these kinds of forums) drivers that were from out west and had nothing too bad to say about SAIA. They did say each term is totally different, though.

Just calling it the way it is. No sense in putting makeup on a pig
Then all LTL companies are pigs. The bottom line is you are just a number at all of them. SAIA’s compensation package is at the very top in LTL and for many guys that’s all that matters. If you want to work for the man it gets no better than SAIA. They show you the money $$. The alternative is start your own company and run it the way you see fit. Otherwise STFU and do your job. No offense.:1036316054:
