SAIA | Quick Question

Too much beer after Cowboy loss. Maybe it just looks sideways!

Don’t feel to bad train, Garrett was calling plays like this, that why you lost to the JETS! :nono h4h:

Family is included unless your spouse works and has insurance available from their employer. If it’s available, whether they buy it or not, Saia will not cover them. Kids are covered till they are 26.
How does the company know if your spouse works for a company that offers insurance?

Oh yeah I damn well did.

I got a big problem with the whole damn hand holdin nanny mentality, like truckers cant function without bein told how to fart by some overpaid underdesk corporate tool.
The cameras have burnt my ass and they have changed the dynamics of trucking to some degree. But you need to understand that these cameras will be part of trucking for all major LTL carriers within a few years. So my suggestion is to prepare yourself for them or get ready to get out of trucking. They are here and they are here to stay. And BTW the cameras aren’t really that bad. You adjust to them and the negative perception of them is not as bad as the reality. Ultimately they do save lives and promote safety. You can find negative in anything in life. My suggestion for you is to try and find the positive because all the bitching in the world won’t change the fact that these cameras aren’t going anywhere. They are the future in trucking.

Spin it however you want, it’s still bullshit! We shouldn’t just roll over and accept it because companies think it’s great for there bottom line in the name of safety, bull! It’s insulting to those who have driven millions of safe miles without them. If your a good driver, it will show. No tickets or accidents.

Agree, but after several weeks here I have basically mastered the camera in a 2018 which aint easy 'cause that mofo is sensitive. Only downside is about once a day it starts flashing red for a minute or so so I don't know if its recalibrating or recording or what and it happens randomly so there's that

Uploading. Solid red for following too close. Red, green few times quick for hard bumps, hard brakes, lane deviation or overspeed.

Cruise keeps your following distance where it should be, automatically adjusts for conditions to prevent most (not all) camera infractions.
Oh... right. That adaptive stuff...

Ours wants to keep ya at about 2 1/2 seconds. Hows yours?

I always maintained 6-8' behind the truck I was following, however, if I was transporting class A explosives, I would fall back about 10' ( company always said I got great fuel mileage)
