Was wondering if any road drivers from middletown can help me out with some info, I was wondering how steady the work and I actually like staying out, any into would help, as to what I should expect, and starting wage in the northeast, thanks

Hello, I’m not out of that terminal but I’m fairly familiar with the northeast region. That area seems to be very consistent with freight generally speaking. If you like to stay out you will fit very well here. Extraboard is 5 days out and 2 days home. If you want to stay out longer you definitely can especially in that region. You’ll have Chicopee to the north which is a good size New England break terminal and Pine Brook NJ which does some break bulk as well. There will be some nights of hitting 5-6 terminals a night that won’t be so pleasant but you’ll have some good nights across 80 or 90 relaying freight to and from West Middlesex PA break hub located on 80 at the Ohio line. The northeast gets a bad rep but I have made good money there. Estes is very laid back, you can almost do what you want, when you want to do it, to an extent. They have some dumpy facilities and can do some weird things but the check always clears Friday morning. Starting pay is the same in the Estes east region, I don’t have an exact number but should be around 62cpm. Top extraboard is .695 after 3 years, $8 to hook a set and $8 to break a set. You don’t get paid to pre trip, fuel or wait on loads. Break down will pay an hourly rate of somewhere in the neighborhood of $25 an hour. Drive your truck to hotel, you’ll get a CLC corporate lodging card for hotels. You’ll have your own fuel card and most facilities have fuel so rarely you’ll ever have to stop at truck stop. You’ll get your own ez pass for tolls.

Thank you for the feedback, I've heard alot of good things, all the guys I've ran across over the years have always been polite and professional, I have friends who left Holland in the Carolinas after 16 years and they love it, thanks again for taking the time,

No problem. I, like your friends also worked at Holland prior to here, and know many others from Holland and Yrc here. It was an adjustment but it worked out well. If money is what you’re after, 100k plus attainable no matter which region you’re in if you don’t mind working.

Awesome, I just moved back from Charlotte, I worked for Holland myself in Charlotte, my dad got sick and had to do the right thing, I actually like staying out, not married and no kids, lol

You don’t get paid to fuel or wait on loads? What the heck? You get a flat rate to drop and hook sets? You gotta stay out for 5 days? Sounds scabby.....

I've rarely had to wait anywhere, and as far as it sounding scabby, since I've been here, grossing 2g + week, 2380 last week, so as far as not getting paid, I don't think so, paid well, very well and you don't kill yourself, great people, great company,,Estes takes care of their people, trust me, this is better than any union job I've ever had, so call it scabby, jokes on you my friend, what I'll make in 6 months will take you all year to make, think before you speak,

What region are you running out of? How long have you run Extra Biard for Estes?

One thing I can say about Estes is that they are not a scrappy company. They pay very very well. I make over $2100 EVERYWEEK. Now do they have some cons yes. But there cons not duzzies like some companies I know. @ .72 cnts Starting in Jan 2020. Most trucking companies are not paying that bro. And love to give you miles. crappy nooooo. Great company yeees. And home often. You'll make a great living here. Think bro before you say what's crappy. I never have to wait on freight. The miles and pay check speaks for it self.

If $100k+ a year is scabby, please inform us what you make? And is that first year? My first full calendar year here I made $100k on the dot and I was bottom of the pay scale.
