SAIA | More layoffs coming 11-20

That's normal..in 2016...was cut once a week from October till match...was still working 40s though
That’s the norm. Being cut is far different from having a massive layoff. SAIA rarely has layoffs because they cut drivers and rotate days off in P&D during the slow season. It’s the city guys that are use to getting 60 hours a week that cry the most. Many in linehaul don’t mind a day off from time to time.

Hey, (Ole Retired One) don't put your cameras on a trail, put them on my porch!
Now that’s sweet. But that wouldn’t be any fun. I must have a challenge like being up a tree waiting patiently. I love my solitude.

These are pests, you can't have anything in your yard, this is my home on the island, not the country.
They don't allow hunting on the island, deer have no predators.
Our animal lovers have a duckfit if you run over a squirrel, they want a funeral with all honors.
I sneak and shoot them out the kitchen window with a pellet gun.

You live in Martha’s Vineyard??? Damn, I didn’t know you had that sort of cash.

ABF (050 Indy) has a 67 man city board & 10 are on lay off. By the end of the year maybe 5 more? I worked there from 1998 to 2016 & we never had 10 people laid off 3 weeks before turkey day. And we had a 30 many board the day I started & 80 man the year I retired. At one time Amazon in Indy represented 42% of our outbound freight. That is a lot of eggs in one basket. Now days I hear it's not even 5% of outbound. Companies change shippers for 1 cent a box irrespective of the service rendered. von.
